some of these items here actually have been said to be true, but hey, until nintendo says it, this list stays in the rumor bin.

Its still rumor and no fact. I hate the rumors. By the way, Rockstar should stay out of Nintendo. Rockstar disgusted me.

I'm not much fan of Nintendo but what this article suggest to me is that it seems like a fantastic machine. I like the controller ideas too.

"Nintendo is trying really hard to get 3rd parties on board to develop games and have offered incentives such as not releasing big-title Nintendo games in holiday seasons to compete against 3rd party titles."

Well ya, cause people are going to buy the hit nintendo games anytime.

multi touch screen BS

nintendo in damage control with 3rd partys BS

fact 1 multi touch isnt for gaming its a lag fest and completly ruins the mouse like interface of stylus/thumb nub

fact 2 nintendo needs to repare 3rd party damage

crud 3rd partys only have themselves to blame

fact 3 motion being put to sleep with the fishes WII AND ITS CONTROLLERS ARE SALES RECORD BREAKERS AND OFFER CONTROLS VASTLY EVOLVED OVER A CLASSIC

That must be why 90% of people that bought a wii either regret it or never use it.

the controller rumors sound like what the DreamCast3 controllers would have been like... if not for the demise of SEGA.

Hardware specs are stunning toO... enough to get them into the next generation YEARS before xbox and playstation can produce a console... which will ultimately be an upgraded version of the Wii2 with xbox/ps logos attached and 2013/14 hardware specs when they are launched.

Sega can't even make a good Sonic game... How do you expect them to make a half-decent console?

Thats a hell of a CPU!

Seems a little skimpy on the RAM compared to it.

I wonder why nobody has expandable RAM anymore like genesis and N64 so you could buy a base model and then upgrade.

Lol @ that controller, but I guess people liked the DS, maybe its cooler then it looks.

Nintendo marks will get it anyway of course, but I wonder if its going to entice anybody else.

A tablet dummy console?

So you say Mario and Pokemon?

;-)

"Because of such generous development time, Nintendo have pushed 3rd parties to develop high quality games to be released at or near launch."

That was actually a pretty clever move.

Put out something underpowered and cheap as a stop gap/distraction that will sell just for its unique gimmicky attributes while simultaneously ramping up resources for something much more powerful behind the scenes at the same time.

The ole bait them into complacency and then pounce from behind.

Nintendo are old pro's at this game industry stuff.

Sony and MS are just noobs in the game console field compared.

Fake, no such thing as 2nd party.

Sorry, but this is fake.

"Gamefreak and EAD are hard at work developing a Pokemon online RPG."

Gamefreak, just last month or so, confirmed, once again, they are not interested in console games. Naming them as working on it confirms this is FAKE. This list would have worked if it were not for that detail.

Ever heard of rumor planting? Most companies like Nintendo (and especially Apple) do it to weed out those who are untrustworthy.
Plus I think it makes it more fun when reading the rumors, myself.

"Fake, no such thing as 2nd party"

actually, there IS such thing as a second party. its a company that isnt owned by the console maker, in this case Nintendo, but still makes games exclusively for them, even if for a certain period of time. we saw this with Silicon Knights and the Gamecube, making Eternal Darkness, Metal Gear Twin Snakes and so on.
