HD game next for Smash Bros. creator? |
Listed in: News, Games Tags: Masahiro Sakurai, Nintendo, super smash bros. brawl
Masahiro Sakurai is enjoying the Crysis 2 so much that he himself is already thinking of making an HD game. Why should that be a big deal? Because coming from the guy who made Super Smash Bros. Brawl, you know there's only good things that can come out of this idea.
Over at his official Twitter page, he said, "For today's HD games, is it no good if you can't make graphics of this level?" This started a discussion between him and his followers, with one saying that it should be okay to just have a "certain" level of high quality graphics. The perfectionist in Sakurai, however, said that developers should not just stop at "a certain level".

As the discussion progressed, Sakurai ultimately said, "I'd like to try HD at some point. I wonder if I'll get the opportunity?"
Surely, that would be quite a sight to see. Knowing how Sakurai goes deep with the gameplay, it should be a challenge for him to see how he would balance out graphical superiority to gameplay excellence.
After all, this is the same guy who believes in striking a balance between the two, although it might be "extremely difficult".

Seriously, he is dropping that he is more than likely already working on a HD sequel to SSBB.
