Fils-Aime: We haven't forgotten Wii |

From a first-party perspective, Nintendo hasn't been really taking care of the Wii in recent months. Yeah, The Legend of Zelda: Skywrd Sword is coming, but that's still more than a few months off. It's not like the company has already forgotten about supporting their own home video game console, however. According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, they just decided to give the 3DS and Pokemon: Black & White a little room to breathe.
"We have had to effectively prepare for the launch of 3DS, as well as effectively prepare for the launch of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White," he said in an interview with IGN. "Candidly, we've pushed out some Wii launches so we can focus on our handheld business. Because for us, we're already juggling two big balls; you know, to add a third would be a little bit challenging or a fourth or a fifth.
"So there's a reason why [gamers] haven't gotten any information about Wii, at least from a first-party perspective. We're waiting to space things out and let Pokemon Black and White and let Nintendo 3DS live and breathe out there. But there's content coming and we'll be sharing more certainly in the weeks ahead."
Fils-Aime declined to give out any specifics but promised that Wii owners can look forward to some content before E3. Nintendo will also be announcing more upcoming content at the yearly gaming expo. Perhaps one of these new announcements will be for the "exciting" Zelda-related news that Nintendo president Satoru Iwata hinted at during GDC, but Fils-Aime remained coy.
"All I can tell you is, it'll be different from what we did for Mario," he said. "But it will also be just as special."

But seriously, I have a feeling it has to do with all the old Zelda games pre-loaded into a expanded-storage model Wii. In all honesty it would probably be gold. Hopefully not the same gold as the original Zelda cartridge, though. It hurt my head looking at that old thing.

but yeah i think Nintendo should just focus on improving the 3ds's effect because any slight movement and poof effect doesn't look as great
