Army Families Get Gaming Heaven |

Fort Rucker, Alabama. An Army outpost populated with officials and their families, and now the home to the ‘Munson Heights Neighbourhood Center’, a 7,200-square-foot facility. The report, from The Dothan Eagle, states that the new facility available to the families of troops will feature a computer lab, a workout room, a six lane swimming pool and most importantly, a videogame café.

Sadly, the videogames room is more of a casual gamer thing, and is entitled ‘Wii Café’, so one can safely assume that the only videogames that will be there are Wii games. Still though, that means troops can play something other than Call Of Duty and enjoy some good ol’ fashioned Mario.
Videogames seem to have a quiet relationship with troops, with consoles being shipped and flown out to Afghanistan and Iraq in the past.
Good to know the relationship is being kept going. Do you think this is a good thing for the troops?
