Machinarium is a point-and-click adventure game released by Amanita Design in 2009 for PC & Mac. The studio has revealed that the game will be making its way to the Sony PlayStation 3 console eventually and that the Nintendo Wii version should be out pretty soon.

"We're working hard on the PS3 version, but it's very difficult to reprogram it from scratch," said Amanita Design founder Jakub Dvorský told Digital Spy. "So we hope to finish it [by the] end of this year and release it."

He further revealed that the Wii version, which is being done by Xgen Studios, is almost finished. Since another studio is handling development on it, the release is out of Amanita Design's hands. Dvorský assured Wii owners, however, that Xgen wants to release it "quite soon."

Tablet versions are also in the works. That includes the Apple iPad, but apparently the studio is having a few problems porting the game to the Apple device.

"We are also preparing tablet versions. We are trying to bring it on iPad, which is quite difficult because the game is made in flash, and iPad doesn't support Flash very well, but we are working with Blackberry on their tablet Playbook, which is probably going to happen. We also hope for iPad, but it's not sure yet."
