Remember that well-advertised let down that was Mario’s anniversary? The special disc containing those essentially lazy ports of remakes Super Mario’s older adventures? Well In Nintendo’s ‘Nintendo Direct’ news event over in the land of Nippon, they have announced that ‘a special Wii disc featuring all your favourite Kirby games’ will be out this year to celebrate the little guy’s 20^th anniversary.

Nintendo sure do like to celebrate their anniversaries, with Zelda and Mario having their parties recently. I’m just worried that it will be a lazy collection of ports. The Super Mario package didn't even include the original Super Mario, but instead a port of the SNES All-Stars version. And not even the version with Super Mario World on it.

Here’s hoping it will be good, and I’m hoping to see Kirby’s Nintendo 64 outing and the GameBoy’s Dream Land adventure, as that was some pretty neat stuff.

Here’s hoping Nintendo will keep us updated with more info soon, if not to at least keep my mind at ease.
