Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was well received by gaming families and critics alike. Released on practically every gaming platform over the summer, the game turned into something of a minor hit for TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive. Which is why it’s no surprise that the two companies have announced that the game will be making a Wii U appearance later this year.

But it’s not just a simple port. WB will be making some Wii U-specific changes in order to utilize the Wii U’s unique hardware setup:
“Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will take advantage of the innovative Wii U GamePad controller. Players will navigate through Gotham City using an enhanced interactive map and select their favorite DC Comics characters to assemble a powerful team of heroes, all with the use of the controller's touchscreen. They can even enjoy the entire game experience on the GamePad in off-TV mode, or have a second player join in on the TV, so they can fight crime together without having to share a single screen.”
Make of that what you will. If you haven’t already played the game and you happen to own a Wii U, maybe waiting a couple of months for that release is the best plan.
