Why No Starfox or Multiplayer in Nintendo Land? |

For those of your enjoying some of the action in Nintendo Land, you might be curiously wondering why no online multiplayer was included on a new-generation console that could clearly support it. Obviously this was a conscious decision made by Nintendo, but if you're wondering exactly why then company officials would like to share that with you. Maybe more importantly, why is Star Fox missing from all of this theme park fun?

When sitting down with the popular publication known as Famitsu Nintendo producer Katsuya Eguchi finally shed a little bit of confirmed light on exactly why Nintendo Land became a strictly same room experience. In his own words "Nintendo Land's multiplayer attractions work because of the communication shared between the people playing them," Eguchi said. "So they were set up from the start to be something people in the same room could enjoy." In general then, the studio seemed keen to bring back that old school feel that has made their games popular for decades. After all, it is sad that fewer games are lending support to split screen multiplayer ideas.
In addition, Star Fox fans have also been wondering why the Nintendo icon failed to make a single appearance in this flagship launch title. Eguchi defended their decision by saying that in early versions Metroid Blast was actually supposed to be themed under the Star Fox name. However, it just seemed more sense that you would be piloting the Arwing instead of something just a little bit more generic. Regardless, there is still a certain appeal about Nintendo Land. If you're lucky enough to have a Wii U, purchasing the game is probably worth a shot.

It's sadder I'll hardly ever get to use multiplayer cause Nintendo chose not to let me.
