Rumor Time: Black Ops II Hits the Wii |
Listed in: News Tags: black ops ii, call of duty, e3, Nintendo, Treyarch, wii u, wii u pro controller
It has been said that the Wii U is not very powerful. It has also been said that the Wii U is more powerful than both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. While it’s not exactly clear where exactly the truth lies between these two statements, the Wii U’s lineup at E3 certainly indicates its operating at least at the same level as the two old-timers, if not higher.
Need more proof? How about this magazine scan from Nintendo Gamer, which details Call of Duty: Black Ops II and its release on the Wii U system:
The article doesn’t seem to mention anything specific to the Wii U, but the release window (November) is the same as the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game—this at least indicates that the game may not be a sloppy port.
Maybe this is the type of game for which one would use the new Wii U Pro controller? Either way, having a full-fledged Call of Duty title so close to the device launch should help Nintendo put some numbers on the board.
We’ll keep you updated as details emerge.

I could see maybe at the worst a network connection taking up 1 FPS out of the total but downgrading graphics?
Now that's just too silly.
