We already know that the GameCube classic The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is getting remade this fall for the Wii U.  To give you some more Wind Waker goodness, here are some early design sketches for the original game.

The early design sketches you see posted come from the Zelda Box, a collector’s set that was released exclusively in Japan all the way back in 2002.  The Zelda Box offered up not only the game itself, but also some Link and Moblin figures, a soundtrack, promo book, and more.  Buried within the guidebook are the design sketches and Wind Waker art that would have been limited to the eyes of the game’s fans in Japan.  Thanks to the internet, however, folks like you in other parts of the world can catch a glimpse as well.
