Onlive: it does everything Wii U does, apparently

OnLive boss Steve Perlman believes his service does everything that Nintendo's new console is capable of.

"Nintendo announced a really cool thing, but, well, I can hold up an Android screen or an iPad screen and we can do exactly what they're doing," said Perlman. "In fact, if all you want is touch, I can do it with a smartphone as well, but I'm not tethered to my Wii."

"I can take this away and use it in a room by itself. Everything they demoed at their announcement is going to be available in the UK this autumn. Then again, people are going to want Mario and Pokemon. So those aren't going to go away. There's going to be an evolution to it."

It seems like Perlman is missing the point about the Wii U's controller. It's not something you use to play a game anywhere you want, but an interface that changes the way traditional games are played.

Look dude don't whine because people want to OWN actual physical games instead of play them off some cloud based service. Sheesh.

He obviously doesn't realize that it's meant to be like a powerful "non-portable DS". It also seems that he's just trying to advertise for Onlive.
His opinion has no real value, Ipad/Android and WiiU are in entirely different fields.

I'm sure his ipad or android is on par with 360 and has a full gamepad on it.

Really it can do everything that wii u can do cause I'm pretty sure, anyone will be able to buy a Wii U and play it at home. How many people can play onlive at their house. Cause last time I checked, the few areas where it is available is not most of the world.

Onlive is a piece of shit. Regret even trying it. Has shitty features and all it can do is stream video games that lag like shit if you have shitty connection. They also don't look that great compared to the consoles.
