Future Wii U owners have another game they can add to their to-buy list, as The Amazing Spider-Man will make its way onto the upcoming console next year.

Marvel announced the future availability of the Wii U version of The Amazing Spider-Man via its panel at the 2012 New York Comic Con.  Some details on the release include the ability to navigate the Osphone’s interface using the Gamepad’s touch-screen.  The Osphone, in case you were wondering, is the title’s in-game menu that allows players to use GPS to chart a path through the city and more.  In addition to the Osphone details, Marvel announced that The Amazing Spider-Man for the Wii U will showcase optional motion controls.

As for DLC, the game’s Wii U version will give players the chance to enjoy all of the DLC that has been released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions up to this point, including the Lizard Rampage Pack, the Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack, the Rhino Challenge Pack, and the Stan Lee Adventure Pack.

Look for The Amazing Spider-Man on the Wii U sometime during the spring of next year.
