As if the situation in Arkham City isn't giving Batman enough problems, Rocksteady Studios has decided to further complicate things by thowing in The Riddler as one of the villains players can face in Batman: Arkham City. The studio has recently released a new vignette focusing on the criminal mastermind.
In Batman: Arkham City, players will be able to see clues left behind by The Riddler as green text by switching to Batman's scan-capable detective mode. A few of The Riddler's henchmen can be interrogated for additional clues as long as players remember to keep them concious, as seen in the trailer.
The Riddler will also be scattering booby-trapped trophies throughout the entirety of Arkham City. Although not a requirement for the main narrative, successfully disarming and collecting all of the trophies can lead to the villain's capture. A few of these traps are also shown in the video above.
Batman: Arkham City comes out on October 18 in North America and October 21 in Europe. A collector's edition variant has recently been spotted.
