If you've been keeping your eye on the upcoming Wii U console, you have probably already heard of its launch lineup, but are there some more interesting titles in the works?

So, we know that Nintendo’s Wii U has already released its “launch” lineup of 52 games that will become available by April of next year.  While there’s some great titles in that lineup, what about the inside scoop on the other stuff?  According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, Wii U owners will be able to look forward to some titles from Retro Studios and gaming icon Shigeru Miyamoto (pictured above).

Here’s the actual quote from Fils-Aime when he broke the news on the latest edition of Game Trailers TV:  “I could get myself fired by breaking all of the news here on your show, but rest assured, Mr. Miyamoto and the team at EAD are working on fantastic projects.  Rest assured that Retro is working on a fantastic project. We've got big games in development that are coming that are going to continue to drive the install base of the system.”

As for when you could see these projects unveiled, Fils-Aime said that the 2013 E3 show would be a solid bet.
