A new version of vlc4iphone is now out, bumping up the app to v0.9.8 Beta. Aside form the usual big fixes, this version also incorporates support for firmware 2.0+. Here's a list of all the updates in v0.9.8 Beta:

• Now runs on firmware 2.0+.
• Improved user interface.
• Tons of bug fixes.
• Added experimental support for RTSP streaming.
• Improved playback performance in some decoders such as DivX/XviD.

It's not all good just yet, though. App developer ZodTTD says that some users have reported volume issues with this version, hence it's for beta testers only. ZodTTD is currently looking into these issues and as soon as a fix is found, a public 1.0 release will finally be made available. vlc4iphone v0.9.8 Beta can be downloaded through ZodTTD's repository via the source link below.
