If it ever becomes a reality, designer Hui-Zong Chen's conceptual Yoga mat could bring the Yoga experience onto the bleeding edge of technology. This Yoga mat concept features a mat that unfurls from a metal tube that can act as a stereo. Users can pop a memory card into the tube to play mp3s. The tube can also play content off of a standard mp3 player.

The concept's pièce de résistance is the mat itself. It's made of an electronic paper screen that can play streaming video, allowing users to have their Yoga classes streamed onto the mat itself. Users can also use the mat for video conferencing so they can still "attend" their Yoga classes with their friends.

As Yanko Design points out, the technologies needed for this Yoga mat concept design already exist in one form or another, so it's just a question of when someone puts them all together to make the design a reality. If it ever hits the market, we expect a lot of professionals to keep one stashed in their cars.

Matthew Ritter of Yanko design has designed what seems to be the no fuss, cool looking PC concept. Codenamed the XCS (Extensible Computer System) this is a simple unit where the circuitry has been hidden from the user's prying view, and all upgradable units are in the shape of external cartridges.

The idea behind this concept is that buyers are not intimidated by the complex views of the PC's internals. By this method, it makes it easier and less intimidating to upgrade their systems. If you view the thumbnailed image, you'll see each cartridge has a manufacturers name and logo embossed on it, which shows how individual parts such as the graphics card, RAM, and hard drive can be easily upgraded.

Baring in mind that this is a concept, it would be very cool to see this unusual beauty on the market in the future, and following technological trend, it would make sense to make systems that are easier to upgrade. Another argument for this movement is the way new technology is constantly being updated, and nowadays we get the impression that as soon as we purchase a unit, almost immediately it is out of date.
