Those crazy wabbits- er, rabbids are back, and this time they're taking over France in this Around the World: Tour De France trailer video of Ubisoft's Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for the Nintendo Wii. We get you up-to-date on all the rabbid-related hijinks that's set to take the world by storm - or drive it completely rabid, whichever comes first.
In this video, we see a cyclist gearing up for the race, alongside none other than one of the Rabbids. Unfortunately, the Rabbid seems to be equipped for another type of race entirely, and thus gets left in the dust. Hilarious stuff - here's hoping you actually get to pull off something like that in the actual game. No more spoilers from us, enjoy the video! |

Cycling enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the release of Cyanide Studios' Pro Cycling Manager: Tour De France 2007 now has something to whet their appetites on: the very first trailer of the game, and from the looks of things, fans have a lot to look forward to. We get you the latest on what's to expect with this highly-anticipated racing game on two wheels.
Watching the video, one would immediately notice the ridiculous amount of things going on in the screen - all at the same time. There's the actual environment that's gloriously detailed, the spectators who move and react accordingly and convincingly throughout the race, and of course - the cyclists themselves, furiously pedaling in a massive group that's just stunningly realistic, you'd actually wait for someone to crash and see what would happen. We also see some very in-depth customization options, with you being able to choose the kit your team will be using - down from the frame of their bikes to what helmet they're wearing. Very important for those of us who know just what they want to see in their teams. Pro Cycling Manager: Tour De France will be released for the PC and the PSP this June 20. Enough talk from us, though, enjoy the video! |

To those of you who have been following Tour de France, be informed that it's just a matter of weeks before the 94th outing officially begins. And to those who are following the video game title based on this event, know that the official website of Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France 2007 has just been updated.
The game itself sports two major elements: management and racing. You're given the option to manage official teams like handling contracts, training camps, transfers, and equipment, and that even includes dealing with the media. In addition to all that, you will also race through the circuit with the knowledge of your team's strengths and tactics. The game is being developed by Cyanide Studio and will be published by Focus Home Interactive. Take note that Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France is a long-running franchise, but this is actually the first time that it will be appearing on a handheld system: the PSP. This is the very reason why the two companies have been telling everyone that the PlayStation Portable version is not a port of the PC one. Tour de France 2007 PSP will feature 20 official teams and their star racers, not to mention several features like five season-long careers and modes such as time trials, sprint phases, and shorter races. |

French video game development studio Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive announced today the latest addition to the Pro Cycling Manager series, Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France 2007. The new title will be available on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Games for Windows (PC) platforms. Pro Cycling Manager has already gathered a following among PC gamers while this is the first time that handheld users will be able to try the game. Both versions of the game will be available this coming June 20. Aside from the racing aspect of the title, another noteworthy feature is its Management Career Mode. Cyanide said that this mode now offers a more intuitive interface, transfer system, simulation engine, and scouting tools after a significant re-working. Likewise, Tour de France 2007's Real Time Mode has also been improved given its new AI and enhanced graphics. Aside from the above mentioned, other gameplay mode will include Time Trials, Sprints, and Optimized Race Lengths. The title also sports the 20 official teams and their star cyclists as well as a five season-long careers. The screenshots included in this article are for PC but Focus Home Interactive said that they should give fans an idea of how the PSP version will look like. |

Besides Space-golfing, the astronauts of Atlantis, soon to go to the International Space Station, will be doing some camping out. No, this is no stunt. They'll be needing it to "decompress" before they go out and do three complicated spacewalks (yes, they get complicated when you walk on walls and empty space). Nitrogen normally dissolves in the blood and tissues, but when people move too quickly from high to low pressures, it can create nitrogen bubbles. They will then block blood flow, which usually results in death. So the campers are taking their decompression seriously. The astronauts likes this better because in the past, instead of decompressing, astronauts exercise on a stationary bike wearing man oxygen mask for a few hours. Exercise helps take out the nitrogen out of the bloodstream and take in valuable oxygen. They say that this is more relaxed approach. Sitting on your butt all night or running the tour de France? You choose. Unfortunately, once in the chamber, they cannot move out. That means if they need to heed the call of nature, they'll have to do it there and then. So they'll be wearing adult diapers. In the morning, they'll be allowed to go out, grab some breakfast, and change diapers. This will be the second try for camping out in space. The first one failed because of an alarm. It turns out that while the astronauts were preparing to camp out, a software program incorrectly detected that something was amiss with the air quality. There was also a problem with the oxygen airlock in the decompression room. So they had to cancel it and then take off their adult diapers. Let's hope that this second try goes well. |

Recently, IN-FUSIO, an international mobile games and entertainment publisher renewed its exclusive partnership with Amaury Sport Organisation, official organiser of the Tour de France. This could only mean one thing: a Tour de France game for your mobile phones. The Tour de France game on mobile phones is available in Europe, North America, and Asia for Java, ExEn and EGE platforms. It tries to recreate all the excitement and challenges that is the Tour de France. It is a combination of arcade action and cycling simulation, plus it is easy to play and offers hours of entertainment with three different modes, including "Tour de France," "Quick Race," and "Challenges." Players will be put to the test with each of the sprint and mountain stages that make up the 3653 km course. Future players will have to choose the best race strategy to secure first place in each of the three official classifications of this Grande Boucle competition: - Yellow jersey: players must finish first in each of the 21 stages - Polka dot jersey: players must secure the best times through the mountain stages - Green jersey: players must accumulate the most points in the sprint stages This one was developed by MIG Studio and aside from its exciting gameplay, it also incorporates a great deal of realism by including key elements of the cycling discipline. Players will have to watch their breathing, relay passes, tire damage, and endurance for the sprints and mountain climbs. The Tour de France mobile game will be available for download beginning June 2006 via leading European, North American and Asian operators. To help you decide if you'd like this game on your phone, here are some of the mobile game's screens.
