As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, Sony has decided to bump up the PlayStation Network update a little bit early. This week's lineup includes a bunch of PS3 games on sale, two new PS3 games demos, the usual game add-on, several PSP Minis and a ton of PSone classics that includes the survival horror action game Dino Crisis as well as some brand new downloadable titles that includes Gravity Crash, the highly anticipated LittleBigPlanet PSP and Tekken 6 portable.

As folks gather around Thanksgiving dinner, Tekken-atics will have one more thing to be thankful for - Namco Bandai follows up on a promise and will release the patch for Tekken 6 which will fix the excruciating lag that interferes with online play.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 have only been in store shelves for barely a month, and the PSP version is still on its way - Namco Bandai still has plenty of room for post-launch support and they don't have to stop at Cardboard Samurai Yoshimitsu. According to Tekken Lord Katsuhiro Harada, it's very likely that they provide more DLC, and if they do, it'll be for free.

Are you ready for the next battle? Namco Bandai has today announced that Tekken 6 has officially gone gold for the PSP and is now currently in manufacturing ready for the November 24 launch date across North America.

That nasty lag during online play in Tekken 6 has been ruining matches and annoying players since the launch. Worry no further, Namco Bandai has heard the call and is on the job. The publisher is now working on a patch for the problem, hoping to get rid of that infuriating deal breaker.

Sony may not have had anything big to announce regarding the PS3 hardware this week, but news about the console's software has continued to pour in. We heard stuff about the God of War III demo, the Uncharted movie (Wolverine as Nate Drake?), and this one scene in Modern Warfare 2 that's raised the hackles of a few. The Network got some attention as well, what with Netflix finally being confirmed and all. Oh, and that banned Resistance guy still hasn't given up on suing Sony. I guess some people just don't learn.

It's only been a day since Tekken 6 hit retail (officially, at least), and already it's making its way into the record books - the Guinness Book of World Records, in particular. Taking a look at the action down at the London MCM Expo over the weekend, Guinness officials crowned the new record holder for the longest Tekken 6 winning streak.
