Team Ninja's got another project up their sleeve and they want you to be on their team! Tecmo has made it known that they are looking for a programmer for a high end project via a Japanese classified ad site.

It was way back in June when Nikkei Corporate reported that both Koei and Tecmo were working on looking to combine their respective IP to unite their fanbases. While it's not the Xtremely Bouncy Dead or Alive Bikini Beach Volleyball that some folks were hoping for, the new rollout is still very much capable of meeting the now merged publishers' goal of bringing fanbases together.

Yosuke Hayashi of Team NINJA (Tecmo) dropped by the PlayStation Blog to share some new information about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. For this post, he delved into the female playable characters: Rachel, Ayane, and Momiji. He even brought along a cool gameplay video, as well as a challenge to add to the fun while you wait.

The PS3's Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is bigger than its Xbox 360 counterpart in a lot of ways. There's one aspect, however, that it won't match up to: gore. It's still an M-rated game, but the blood spills don't linger as long and there's now a blue glow that obscures beheadings and decapitations. According to Team Ninja, the censorship was deliberate. Team Ninja's Metroid: Other M was one of the titles that caught fans' attention during Nintendo's E3 presentation last week. There have been a few questions, however. For one, would it be a "proper" Metroid game and not a bastardization of the series? According to Reggie Fils-Aime, series fans can rest assured.

No ill feelings here. Tomonobu Itagaki and his ex-team have moved on - he has a new team, Team Ninja has new projects - and he only has the best wishes for Team Ninja and its new leader, Yosuke Hayashi. It's a refreshing change to see the man behind the sunglasses be so positive for a change and he even had enough compliments to go around. Good for you, Itagaki-san.

Anyway, now that the Tecmo team is up for a Metroid project, it'd be interesting to know what plans they have for its darling heroine Samus Aran. Will we be seeing more of Samus? Or will they stick to what she's already got?
