Dark AlexSo we finally got the R2 version of Team Typhoon's ChicHEN exploit, and yes, homebrew is now most definitely enabled. Wondering what Dark AleX has planned? Or not planned, rather. Well, this doesn't come from DAX himself, but here's something close enough: webmaster Alek gives us updates on the ChickHEN exploit and clues us in on Team M33's plans.

QuickJump QuickGuide - Image 1And here we are once more with our Tuesday goodie, the QuickJump QuickGuide now at Issue 3. As promised, we will be continuing the (already-long) PSP Firmware Database. We left off with 3.40 IE in Part 1. Alek: PS Store blocking CFWs is rumor - Image 1There seems to be a rumor going around that FW 5.0 blocks PSPs with custom firmwares from accessing the PlayStation Store. Alek, Dark AleX's webmaster, squashes this out as just rumor.

Official Firmware 4.05 decryted, Custom Firmware 4.05 M33 coming soon? - Image 1Good news? The PSP Gen team has decrypted Sony's official 4.05 firmware update (that was fast). Not much has been changed from 4.01 though. Will we see an update from Dark AleX as well? We'll have to wait and see. More details in the full article.

CXMB 4.0 updated for 4.01 M33 - Image 1One word for this post: Poisonhzkj. You'll probably know the name, because the developer behind it was responsible for delivering the CXMB plugin to the last Custom Firmwares prior to 4.01. Well, would you know that coder Miriam took the plugin and updated it so that CXMB v4.0 would allow the use of unofficial XMB themes in CFW 4.01 M33? If you care to know more, you know where to go. A day after 4.01 M33 rolled out and with the newly-released 1.50 kernel add-on still glowing hot, Dark AleX has released a quick bugfix update for custom firmware 4.01 M33.
