And here we are once more
with our Tuesday goodie, the QuickJump QuickGuide now at Issue 3. As
promised, we will be continuing the (already-long) PSP Firmware
Database. We left off with 3.40 IE in Part 1.
Today, we give you Part 2, starting off with the OFW 3.50 from Sony,
all the way to 5.30, and of course including the brilliant CFWs and
other exploits by the gods-that-be of Homebrew. This piece needs no more introduction; the stars of the show are already tabled below: |

There seems to be a rumor going around that FW 5.0 blocks PSPs with custom firmwares from accessing the PlayStation Store. Alek, Dark AleX's webmaster, squashes this out as just rumor. |

Good news? The PSP Gen team has decrypted Sony's official 4.05 firmware update (that was fast). Not much has been changed from 4.01 though. Will we see an update from Dark AleX as well? We'll have to wait and see. More details in the full article. Thanks to Gilberto Jimenez for the tip! |

One word for this post: Poisonhzkj. You'll probably know the name, because the developer behind it was responsible for delivering the CXMB plugin to the last Custom Firmwares prior to 4.01. Well, would you know that coder Miriam took the plugin and updated it so that CXMB v4.0 would allow the use of unofficial XMB themes in CFW 4.01 M33? If you care to know more, you know where to go. For first timers, that's the "read more" link below.Download: CXMB plugin v4.0 for CFW 4.01 M33 |

It looks like Dark AleX is showing no signs of letting up! A day after 4.01 M33 rolled out and with the newly-released 1.50 kernel add-on still glowing hot, Dark AleX has released a quick bugfix update for custom firmware 4.01 M33. The complete changelog is available in the full article.Download: CFW 4.01 M33-2 update |
