Apple iPhone mobile handset - Image 1Developer Eric Redlinger is currently working on a new open-source research project, which aims to create a standardized set of protocols and syntax conventions to remotely control live installations and multimedia performances. Putting it simply, DJs and VJs can essentially use their iPhones to control their mixing or multimedia stations given the right equipment and setup. More details regarding the app after the jump.

aMaze! v1.2.1 - now at 100 levels - Image 1An addicting delight like aMaze! ought to have plenty of levels to gouge on, thus this latest update for the homebrewed labyrinth game for the Apple iPhone. Now we know it's not exactly free, but it if you've tried your hand at the first few levels of the trial, you know the 10 bucks you're going to spend will be worth it. Even more so now that the Apple homebrew developer Shaun Erickson (Ste) added ten more levels to bump up the collection to 100 mazes. More details at the full story.

Last fm logo - Image 1iPhone users who had problems with running MobileScrobbler on their ZiPhone 2.6-jailbroken units can now heave a sigh of relief, now that homebrew iPhone app developer Ste issued a bugfix that addresses the issue.
