Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - Image 1Avid Metal Gear Solid fans who want to get more info on Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots should check out and watch this video clip taken from Spike TV's Game Head segment. In this clip, Geoff Keighley interviews Ryan Payton of Kojima Productions, and gamers are treated with tantalizing hints about the game's settings.

According to Payton, MGS4 will be set on four or five different locations, three of which are the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and South America. He said that the game will kick off in the Middle East with an encounter with Liquid Ocelot, then will continue in Eastern Europe. He's not willing to give out all the other details, so we'll have to make do with those hints for the meantime, until the game's release (which sadly is delayed).

Halo 3 - Image 1Despite the cancellation of the Halo 3 party plans in the UK, the all-nighter plans of their US counterpart are still on. US will enjoy four regional events to celebrate Halo 3's launch on September 25, and Microsoft already decided to let Halo fans in on the plan.

Aside from 10,000 US retailers opening their doors on midnight for Halo's launch, a participating Best Buy store along the 5th Avenue in New York will play host to the launch event that will be broadcast by Spike TV and G4.

In the meantime, the Los Angeles party crowd will be rounded up by the GameStop branch in Universal CityWalk store. Master Chief himself will drop by to make his special appearance, as well as other celebrity guests who will hand out autographs to fans.

Seattle will have their Halo 3 party hosted by another Best Buy outlet, and Circuit City will be in charge of the launch event in Miami. Facilitating the events on both locations are Bungie team members, with Miami Dolphin players Chris Chambers and Joey Porter in charge of entertaining their fans by playing against them and giving autographs.

Interested in taking something home aside from your own Halo 3 copy as a memento of the event? Bungie will hand out giveaways such as Halo Action Clix, trading cards, T-shirts, caps, graphic novels, calendars and soundtracks, figurines, weapon replicas as well as a Halo 3 Zune (whew, that's a lot!).

See you at the party!

Big Daddy goes... PEEKABOOOOO! - Image 1 News flash from Major Nelson: a launch trailer for BioShock will air tonight around 9:45 p.m. ET on Spike TV. It's going to be aired during the show "The Kill Point", after which, Geoff Keighley would be dropping in for a surprise announcement. Once the trailer gets aired on Spike, an HD version will hit the Marketplace soon after.

While the trailer is already enough to get some of us excited, Keighley's "surprise announcement" is making droves and droves of people (myself included) hoping that it's got something to do with a demo.

We previously reported of a supposed demo that USK had already rated, so maybe this could finally be it! Besides, the game is getting released in just a couple of days (August 21 in North America), so rolling out a demo between now and then couldn't come at a better time.

Time to clear the decks for this one. Whether it really is a BioShock demo or not (hey, it could be dashboard theme or maybe a walkthrough video, but still...), you just might want to clean out
some stuff on your hard drive. Just in case.

And it has finally hit Live! Yep, go switch on your green machines pronto, cos BioShock's demo has finally landed (and that was really quick, too!). Currently, the QJ office is all abuzz with its arrival, and of course, we're already downloading it ourselves. Apart from the demo, there's also a trailer to look out for.

It's size is approximated at about 1.35 gigs. Well, we do hope you heeded our humble advice about clearing up that hard drive! No doubt one of our zealous writers will have his hands on it soon, and with a quick impression on it shortly thereafter.

Thanks to all those who commented on it, and to Anees for tipping us on it!

Ó

Spike TV invaded San Diego for the Comic-Con recently, and their footage is finally up. Regular host Geoff Keighley was able to grab a hold of a couple of videogame icons and celebrities, and interview them in this edition of GameHead. Today's video has a quick sit down - actually, they were standing up, rather - with none other than David Jaffe, who was talking about his Eat Sleep Play project (details of which can be found here).

Past the 3:02 mark of the episode though, we have Jaffe pitted against videogame movie director Uwe Boll. We never thought that both names could ever be uttered in the same sentence, much less be inside the same camera frame, but here they are. And if you've got both Jaffe and Boll in the same equation, you can't not ask the question: "Will there be a God of War movie directed by Uwe Boll?"

Jaffe answered this honestly with a resounding "No." Boll, though, had a different response. "Wait until you see Postal, and then you judge." In fact, Boll already even has a rather... fitting actor to play Kratos. Viggo Mortensen. AKA Aragorn. Uhm, right. Watch:
