Things were pretty quiet on the PSP blog this week. Some good news still managed to filter through, though: There's a new Monster Hunter entry in the works, Kojima Productions is still cranking out the demos to tweak Peace Walker even further, and there's  new LocoRoco game out. Of course, you gotta take the good with the bad: we also got news of Fireteam Bravo 3 getting delayed this week.

I got some bad news guys. Seems like we'll have to wait a bit longer for the next iteration of the SOCOM franchise to hit the PSP as Slant Slix has confirmed that SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 will be delayed until January next year.

SCEA has announced a new downloadable map pack for SOCOM: Confrontation is on the way. Known simply as the Cold Front pack, it will be loaded with new features and contents, including a brand new snowy Eastern European area of operations. It will also include two new maps and three classic SOCOM maps for 16 to 32 players.

In an effort to entice current PSP owners to Go and upgrade to the new PSP model, Sony is launching a "PSP Go Rewards" program, where you can get your hands on three games free of charge. Read on and find out how.

We're less that two weeks away from the PSP Go's launch but it looks like people are still very divided over it. It's not just the gamers too -- even retailers are torn. Some have predicted its failure while a few have even outright opposed the handheld and Sony's download-only model for it. Sony, on the other hand, seems all set to follow through not only with the Go, but with the PSP brand as a whole, as rumors (and history, really) suggest that there are more hardware iterations in the pipeline. Wow. The PSP's on a bit of a roll today. Here's another announcement for the Sony handheld, and while it's not exactly for a new game, it's just as good. We're talking about SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3's official release date. The date and pre-order details after the jump.

Slant Six Games' latest PSP installment SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALS Fireteam Bravo 3 is looking pretty neat. The game will feature an all new campaign with four player online co-op mode, over seventy weapons, custom missions, leaderboards and more. Check out the latest trailer after the break.

The hunt for the elusive PS3 Slim continues as more rumors and rumor-fueling info churn up into the scene. With GamesCom coming up, we're getting closer to getting our answers. Will it be a PS3 Slim? A price cut? Will it be both? Or will we wind up with the line of the year (We don't comment on rumors and speculation)? I don't think the last one will be the case.
