Interview - Satoru Iwata - price drops is a mistake - Image 1 Over their lifetimes, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 have both introduced price cuts to buoy sales. But the Wii? Naw, it doesn't need a price cut to sell. It just needs to exist. But shouldn't manufacturing costs have gone down by now? Why doesn't Nintendo introduce a price cut? Nintendo Dreamed Of A DSi With Two Game Slots - Image 1The Nintendo DSi has a lot of great new features, but one of the better features that didn't manage to get in the final plans was a second cartridge slot. This idea was scrapped by Nintendo prez Satoru Iwata, saying that it made the handheld feel "big."

How bigger was this model in question that the feature was just not worth the trouble? About three millimeters. Wuh?

DS PSP iPhone - Image 1So there's the new PSP-3000, the new DSi, and the iPhone. How different is the portable gaming market now? Satoru Iwata already gave his thoughts on the subject matter - that they're not after iPhone's market share. And who can forget? Even John Koller had a thing to say about the current competition - that the DSi may be successful, but will remain for kiddies under 12. So now, will anyone else give their own two cents? No, duh. Of course someone will pipe in! Enter Luc Bernard, creator and developer of Eternity's Child.
