Heads up, table tennis fans! Rockstar Leeds has released another trailer for the upcoming Wii iteration of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, and it certainly brings a smile to our lips. Like the previous videos for the game, there's that sense of action, coupled with the wholesome fun we've come to expect from the Wii.

In typical Rockstar fashion, they've released a trailer that shows off both the intense gameplay that comes with playing actual table tennis with the fun behind playing with the Wiimote. All they had to do was pit a couch potato against someone who looks like a professional table tennis player in a no-holds barred game of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, and you've got an interesting ad for everyone to see.

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis is out now for gamers everywhere to buy. In the meantime, watch the video and see if the game is right for you.

No other sport can be as demanding or as brutal as table tennis. Not only do you have to have lightning-fast reflexes, but also the hand-eye coordination to match. And while most of us can only hope to achieve such a level of mastery with the sport that we can have endless rallies AND be able to smash the ball back to our opponent - videogames, thankfully, can make up for our lack of godlike dexterity, as we can see here with this gameplay video update of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis for the Nintendo Wii.

While the videogame community was certainly surprised at Rockstar's sudden deviation from games such as Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt to create a sports game, there's no doubt that the end result is definitely just as fun and fresh as their other titles.

The same goes for Rockstar Presents Table Tennis' Wii version, with the graphics sharp and the gameplay mechanics solid. The brief slowdowns and cut-aways add to the tension of an already tense match-up, and gives it that extra little bit of awesome. Too bad there's no online multiplayer though, but it's definitely more intense to play head-to-head.

Embeds are below, you know what to do. Enjoy!

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis - Image 1

While everyone can agree that the combination of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis and the Wii's motion-sensing gameplay is a winning one, it seems that the company behind the quality ping-pong title has taken online play out of that equation. Yep, we won't be able to volley that little ball back and forth with our friends over the interweb.

This news comes directly from Rockstar, who issued a statement regarding the removal of online play from the Wii version of the sports title. This statement, unedited and presented as is:

All the focus is going into making it the most advanced control system on the Wii.

There you have it. Because they're really upping the quality of the control system, they let go of developing an online feature for the game. Which is really just too bad, as using that exact same control system in an online match would have been awesome.

Oh, well. Here's hoping that the game itself will make up for lack of online multiplayer.

Manhunt 2 - Image 1

Rockstar has always been known for doing things different in this industry. Manhunt 2 (PSP, PS2, Wii) is no exception to this, as the game's official website has recently released the third web-exclusive companion piece of the highly-controversial title, the Daniel Lamb Session.

If you're interested in getting to know more about the game's mind-bending storyline and are not afraid to hear things that'd probably make your hair curl, then this one should be right up your alley.

The Daniel Lamb Session is the third in a series of audio-visual presentations available for viewing in the game's official website. Not your typical gameplay video or trailer, it's pretty much a series of eerily-disjointed photographs, screenshots and animations that you have to click through in order to get the full story.

What really shines in this sort of media? The audio. Being a horror fan, yours truly can honestly say that the Daniel Lamb Session, along with its predecessors, contains some of the best voice acting in terms of scaring the ever-living crap out of a listener. The sound effects, timed impeccably with the presentation's graphics, really kick-starts your imagination into what's happening in Session 5-26.

Be forewarned - it's not for the faint of heart. Otherwise, enjoy it with the lights off for the full effect - you'll thank us after the entire ordeal is over. Updates as we get them, and you can check out the Daniel Lamb Session by clicking on the Read link we've provided below.

Still coming from Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 07, here's the first gameplay videos for the Wii version of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis (also on Xbox 360). It was announced earlier by Rockstar Leeds that the title has already gone gold and is ready for shipping this coming October 23.

Anyway, the first gameplay video features players Haley and Liu Ping. Haley is the youngest player in the game and hails from U.S.A. Liu Ping, on the other hand, is a 32-year old veteran from Beijing, China. This match should be exciting to watch since Liu Ping is a power player while Haley specializes in speed and accuracy.

The second clip still features our Chinese guy but with a different opponent. This time, we see Jesper from Sweden slug it out with Ping. Actually, Jesper is the more veteran of the two being already 34 years old and having won previous competitions under his belt. Aside from using power, opponents are also intimidated because of Jesper's body size.

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis Wii first screenshots - Image 1

The Nintendo Wii version of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis (also on Xbox 360) has already gone gold and is ready for shipping come October 23. But fans have yet to see some good ol' screenshots to further know the changes made by Rockstar Leeds to the title. It's a good thing that we have a couple for you today courtesy of Jeux-France.

Speaking of changes, take note that the Wii version is not just a simple port of the one released on Microsoft's white console more than a year ago. One of the most obvious differences is that Rockstar Presents Table Tennis has been made compatible with Nintendo Wii's motion-sensing controllers which should give players more immersive gameplay.

Players will also be able to choose from three different control schemes namely Standard, Control Freak, and Sharp Shooter. The last two should cater to advanced players as Control Freak allows for a Nunchuk attachment that lets players move their in-game characters.

Sharp Shooter, on the other hand, is for those who don't want to move left and right the table but want to hit more accurate shots. While waiting for the actual release date, just enjoy the screenshots below!

Sony's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable - Image 1

In the same analyst conference call that revealed plans for a Bioshock sequel, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick announced that the releases for two of the company's PlayStation titles have been pushed back to fiscal year 2009.

The first delayed title is L.A. Noire for the Sony PlayStation 3. This Team Bondi project will reportedly be set in late-1940s Los Angeles. The decidedly film noir-style game will have players trying to solve a chain of murders.

Rockstar Leeds' PlayStation Portable title Beaterator, a music game made in collaboration with hip hop producer Timbaland, has also been delayed. Here's what Zelnick had to say about the delays:

Right now we're just pushing out the release date, and we'll be more specific as we have more information. We are continuing to develop the titles, and I think our decision was driven in part by the fact that we have such a strong release schedule for '08 and a pretty robust one.

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis - Image 1

With the Wiimote conveniently shaped like a handle and the Wii conveniently able to track motion, making sports titles on Nintendo's entry into the next-gen console war is a no brainer. And from the new details recently uncovered about Rockstar Presents Table Tennis for the Wii, it looks like one of the biggest names in the videogame industry has wised up and is now seeing the potential of the small but indomitable piece of gaming heaven - as far as controls go, of course.

So what's new with the Wii version of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, you ask? Only the confirmation that it's going to take pretty awesome use of the Wii's motion-sensing capabilities, of course. How you swing the remote in your return swing will directly affect the ball, in terms of how fast it goes and where it lands. An example would be swinging up and to the left will send the ball to the left back quadrant of your opponent's court.

While that in itself already gives gameplay depth, there's more to it than that. The Wii version of Rockstar Presents Table Tennis will give you three controller settings to choose from, with two of these modes designed to cater to the more advanced players, as seen in a previous interview video. "Control Freak" mode, one of the two settings that require the Nunchuk attachment, lets you move your player around with the analog stick - giving you that extra edge of unpredictability in enabling you to either hang back or charge the table for those sneakier, over-the-net shots.

The other mode, "Sharp Shooter", is for those of us who don't want to think about moving their characters, but want to make more precise shots. We don't know how the nunchuck is utilized here, but a guess would be that it lets you aim just where you want to send the ball to, probably via a targeting reticle of sorts.

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis is certainly looking to be one of those titles that we'll be swinging our Wiimotes for days on end on. Keep it locked right here for all things Table Tennis!
