The No More Heroes logo - Image 1It has been reported that the European version of Rising Star Games' No More Heroes would be censored and certain elements will be removed like the use of blood and too much gore. Well, that is not the case or so according to Rising Star Managing Director Martin Defries.

Suda 51, Wada explains why No More Heroes Europe was censored - Image 1It was revealed only a couple of days ago that the European version of Nintendo Wii exclusive No More Heroes was censored and that the original bloody and gore-filled content were removed.

European publisher Rising Star Games, at the time of the announcement, refused to provide any explanation for the said development. But Suda 51 and Wada recently came up with one. Check their response after the jump!

No More Heroes - Image 1Bad news for Wii owners in Europeland: the European version of Goichi Suda's cel-shaded epic for the Nintendo Wii, No More Heroes, will be sold with the violence cut out. That's right, folks - instead of stylish dismemberment and bloody showers, European players will be treated to the same death animations (i.e. a shower of black pixels) whenever they kill someone with Travis' beam katana. Ouch.
