Video game publisher Schanz International Consultants (SIC) announced today that it has picked up Revistronic's Project Witches and will be happy to mass produce it for gamers of platforms PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, as well as PC. The developer mentioned a Wii version of the title before but SIC didn't say anything about it in the official statement. Anyway, Project Witches still eludes most of us as details about the game are still scarce as of the moment. We only know that it's going to be a third-person adventure game and that players will be controlling a squad of sultry warriors otherwise known as Witches. Teamwork is going to play a vital role because all modeling, levels, and even scenes are designed to promote cooperative play. SIC Managing Director Gerhard Schanz had this to say, "We have been following the progress of the WITCHES title and the progress of the engine at Revistronic and are very glad to renew our partnership for a title that is beginning to look bewitching". The official added that Project Witches will be further revealed at the SIC meeting room during the Game Convention in Leipzig. The event will take place from August 23 to 26. |

Who among you didn't read 15th century novel Don Quixote when it was assigned by your English teacher at school? You're not alone because we skipped that one as well (it was far too long!). Anyway, Spanish video game developer Revistronic is giving us another chance to catch up on our readings.
Because you see, the development studio is currently working on title Donkey Xote to be released on PlayStation Portable (PSP), DS, PlayStation 2 (PS2), and Games for Windows (PC) platforms. The game attempts to re-tell the true story of the infamous knight of La Mancha through the eyes of Rucio, Sancho Panza's donkey. There are still no details known about the project but the official site of Revistronic has these teaser statements, "In this new story we face the challenge of meeting Dulcinea. For that we must participate in an adventure that will bring us from the calmness of Sancho's house, to the jousting tournament in Barcelona." Revistronic is also developing title Project Witches for next-gen consoles and PC platform. |

Project WITCHES is a third-person tactical combat game made by the folks of Revistronic for the Xbox 360, the Wii, the PC, and the PS3. The game is set in a semi-zombie-infested, sorta-post-apocalyptic medieval world, where a dark demonic beast has established a "reign of slavery". You, the player, must direct Gwen, a "sultry warrior" who resists the demonic beast's will and leads a rebellion against his satanic power. No we are not making this up. Head to the developer's page yourselves and check out the full cheesiness. Anyhow, would you believe that "Sultry girls against satanic monsters" is a key feature of the game? Given, DOAX2 though, yeah, you probably would. No word yet on who will be publishing this game, no rating yet - hopefully it gets an M, and as far as release date goes, it has a wide, wide 2008 release window. We'll end this here, before we say anything more about this game. To be fair to it, yeah, the game does look "sultry" albeit, in a wrong way. |
