Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal - Image 1Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal - Image 2

Warner Bros. Interactive's Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal (Xbox 360 and Wii) is looking good even this early and, if we may add, seems to be a better game compared to previous titles that featured our favorite characters. Anyway, what we have here below are several screenshots from the game's Wii version.

The images show us snapshots of how the Looney Tunes are going to counter Evil Mad Scientist's plans of destroying their ancestors. Aside from being fun and exciting, one can expect Acme Arsenal to be an explosive and time-bending title as well, given in-game elements such as ACME explosives, weaponry and even time machines.

Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal is being developed by Red Tribe and will also be available on the PlayStation 2 (PS2).

A lot of gamers have become wary of any video games with the Loony Tunes badge on it since a lot of the earlier releases were rather, err, mediocre. Warner Bros. and Red Tribe's Loony Tunes: Acme Arsenal might make you do a double take on that statement because the game looks to actually be fun.

The first thing you will notice from the gameplay video is that the game has explosions, lots and lots of them. Favorites such as the Tazmanian Devil, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny look to be playable so you'll be able to wreck havoc with your favorite toon. As standard with most Loony Tune, they have injected their own brand of humor in the videos. Judging from the video, this has the potential to be a good game to play during lags from playing more "serious" titles.

Loony Tunes: Acme Arsenal is slated to be released for the Wii, PlayStation 2, and the Xbox 360. Enough of our ramblings on the game, here's the video. Enjoy.

They're wacky, they're looney, and they're out to conquer your Xbox 360 and yourNintendo Wii. This right here is Warner Bros. Interactive's Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, as developed by Red Tribe.

If you know who the Looney Tunes characters are, then you know that this is an action adventure game. Here's the long and short of its storyline. There's this Evil Mad Scientist who hates the Looney Tunes so much that he wants to get rid of them at all costs. So he used his homemade time machine and his humongous ACME eraser to travel through time to target the ancestors of our lovable looneys.

Of course, it follows that without the ancestors, the Looney Tunes will not have the chance of day to live in the present. But unknown to the Evil Mad Scientist, the Looneys have sniffed out his evil plan, and so they've created their own time machine to thwart him and his evil plot.

Them Looneys are generally friendly, but as this is an arms race, expect them to be carrying some big guns such as melee and projectile weapons. Unfortunately, Michael Jordan won't be around this time to help the gang out. But we do have screenshots both for the Wii and the Xbox 360. Check them out and enjoy!

One of the finest government contractors around. - Image 1 Now we find out what Red Tribe's Looney Tunes game is all about. PR from Warner Bros. and Red Tribe announce Looney Tunes: ACME Arsenal for the Wii and 360, an action-adventure game featuring the whole nine zany, kooky, and otherwise looney yards: Bugs, Daff, Taz, and company. (No word about beep-beep! and poof! - Roadrunner and Coyote - though, the perfect mascots for ACME.)

The game will be action-adventure, partly puzzle-solving, part combat, part vehicle, using an arsenal of ACME weapons and devices. Waitaminute - ACME arsenal? Are you sure these won't backfire, or is Wile E. Coyote just not as Wile E. as he thought he was?

Great, now you actually expect us to use THEIR products in-game? - Image 1

Anyway, the Xbox 360 version should feature real-time physics and animation blending, not to mention Xbox Live cooperative gameplay. Aww, we wanted to see DUCK SEASON! RABBIT SEASON! DUCK SEASON! RABBIT SEASON! RABBIT SEASON! DUCK SEASON - FIRE!!! online arguments. And the Wii version should expect gesture control. But don't give the Wiimote to Coyote. Don't ever give the Wiimote to Coyote.

A little rumor has come around rooting from the American Nintendo magazine, Nintendo Power, that an Australian company is at work to deliver a brand new "The Looney Tunes" to the Wii. Red Tribe CEO Chris Mosley has revealed that they are in fact making a game based on a Warner Bros. franchise. We've heard about Red Tribe before, and yes, they were linked to the Looney Tunes on occasion.

Red Tribe continues to hint at their twist of luck by subtly placing references on their website to what seems to be very (and do we mean very) similar appearances to the Looney Tunes characters, namely Foghorn Leghorn and Sylvester the Cat. If you can spot them on the picture on top, you'd be sure as we are that they're pretty busy on Bugs.

We'll keep a keen eye out on this. Don't you worry about a thing.

Red Tribe

A new platformer has just been listed under development for the PS2, Xbox 360, and Wii consoles by Red Tribe, an Australian video game development studio. Interesting fact: the games company is listing the title as an "innovative fast-past action platform game," but other than that, info on the upcoming game has been scarce.

Red Tribe also has two more upcoming titles in the works: a sci-fi horror FPS for the Xbox 360 & PC platforms and a 3rd person action game for the PS3 & Xbox 360. The latter game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, so we're guessing that there's a bit of a sci-fi undertone there, making both releases have a sci-fi vibe to 'em. If that's the case, maybe the platformer would be sci-fi too? Possible.

Red Tribe has earlier confirmed that they are collaborating with Warner Brothers on an upcoming Wii title. Hmmm. Warner Bros? Will it be a licensed game? No idea. There's always the possibility that it would turn out to be a bad Looney Tunes/Jurassic Park crossover. Marvin the Martian would probably not be enough to add sci-fi cred to a game all by himself.

Anyway, enough with the daydreaming. Now, having three upcoming releases can be quite problematic if you've only got a few people working for you, so Red Tribe has been advertising for new employees on their website for quite a while now. We advise those interested (and living in Australia) to check out the company's website, which in our opinion holds the title for "Most Uninformative Company Website Ever."
