Here's another entry to the Neo Spring Coding Competition 07 courtesy of homebrew developer pucelano. The program is a fully functional Spreadsheet for the PlayStation Portable known as PSP SpreadSheet. Do take note that this is not the first build for the application as it was first released back in July.
The latest release, version 2.00, comes with a lot of new features aside from the usual stuff that comes with a spreadsheet application. Among the more notable ones include basic mathematical operations and formatting capabilities to the cells texts and cells numbers. Here's the complete list of features as provided by pucelano:

Homebrew developer pucelano first released the application Easy PSP Calculator back in March 2007. But seeing that there's an on-going competition, the Neo Spring Coding Contest, the developer decided to create a new build for the Lua calculator project and make it an entrant. Easy PSP Calculator lies somewhere along the middle of basic calculators and scientific ones in terms of features. While it doesn't have full the full utility and functions of a scientific calculator, the homebrew does offer some trigonometric functions. Its other features are as follows:

Pucelano, the creator of the Easy PSP Calculator, has produced a fully functional spreadsheet for the PlayStation Portable called PSP Spreadsheet v1.00. This program looks very well made and offers most of the functions one would expect from such an application. Obviously, the basic operations are all present and accounted for. In addition to this, the coder has implemented multiple functions which streamline calculations and simplifies management of the different cells. Here's a list of features that have been implemented in this build:

This is a take-it-easy Lua project of pucelano's that should find some use in a classroom setting (though bringing a PSP to a SAT exam might actually get you in trouble...). We have seen a lot of PSP calculators pass through our hands, from the bare-bones basic to the pimped-up full emulations like Zx-81's HP48 emulator (certified for classroom use, but your teacher may disagree). Easy PSP Calculator, despite its name, is not a bare-bones Lua release. While it doesn't have the full utility of a scientific calculator, it nevertheless incorporates basic trigonometric functions, useful for algebra, basic calculus, and geometry. You know, basic high school stuff. Despite being encoded in Lua, it's been worked so that it can be opened off the MemStick, so you're not gonna need a copy of Lua Player for this homebrew calc. So if you're stumped trying to long hand calculations for sine waves, you could try reaching for some help... Download: Easy PSP Calculator v1.0 |
