IR Shell

Love IR Shell? Love the look of Vista?

Well you can have the best of both worlds with Vista Clarity!

This is the full version of the default skin used in IR Shell 2.2. The version used in IR Shell was still incomplete, with some graphical menu selection problems, and incomplete help images. Luckily, PSPHax0r9 has fixed these!

The full release includes:

  • All images (including help images) now skinned.
  • Menu selection improved
  • PSDs for all images!
  • Logo.bmp (CAN ONLY BE USED IN 2.2SE, for beta testers)

PSPHax0r9 wants to thank Ahman, Numeror, Wattako, and all IR Shell skinners!

iR Shell Configurator

Ahman's iR Shell is arguably one of the best applications ever made for the PSP. However, all good things must come to an end, so with a heavy-heart he announced that this is going to be the final release for the iR Shell.

Being the phenomenal application that it is today, you'd never imagine that it was created through Ahman's failed search for a PSP homebrew that can serve as a wireless controller to his Pentax camera. He's been hard at work on the project since January and he's transformed the then unnamed and potential Pentax camera controller application into the multi-tasking, can't-do-without iR Shell that it is now.

The Pentax camera may have triggered everything in motion, but the legions of dedicated supporters have kept it moving. There's AnonymousTipster, who's responsible for the ZIP and RAR plugins plus in charge of redesigning the iR Shell website. The devoted beta testers, most especially to StoneCut, who helps moderate the forum and help out newbies in the ins and outs of the application. His impressive and well written test reports are essential to the project's development.

Torpie13 for his generous donation for the domain and free T3 hosting service. And if you're still in awe of the UI graphics' transformation, you have these talented graphics artists to thank - Triable, Skydew, Terdinglage, Numeror, PSPHax0r9 and other skin makers. He also extends his sincerest thanks to the different plugin makers and their original authors that makes full use of the iR Shell plugin system.

PSParty Screenshots - Image 1 PSParty Screenshots - Image 2

PSPHax0r9 has released a new version of PSParty as a competition entry for our Summer Coding Competition. The earlier version of this was only a beta, but this is the first non-beta release of this game. As you may have guessed, this is a clone of the famous Mario Party series and features tons of mini-games.

PSParty, which is coded in Lua, utilizes mini-games that have been contributed by fellow developers and can be played after each player has finished their turn (end of the round). The game features only one level at the moment, but will definitely keep you and your friends busy wherever you may be. Other features that should be noted in this game include - up to 4 players on a single PSP and a helpful screen before each mini-game providing necessary info from the game.

All of the entries for this competition will be released and a post detailing the voting procedure will be up soon. Good luck in the competition and a great job on the game!

PSParty

PSPHax0r9 from our forums has finally released PSParty. I'm saying finally because this has been in development on and off for many months now. And he hasn't disappointed. The game looks very nice and fun, but the keyword here is *BETA*. In his own words, "Right now it doesn't have much of a main objective, but that's why it's called a "Beta." I'm releasing this Beta because I think it is a good solid foundation for the game."

But I'm sure that won't stop most of you from trying it out. It's loosely based on the game Mario Party, but with different characters. Want more? You can even create your own players. A guide has been bundled. Check it out if you're into modding games.

Don't worry though, the upcoming releases will have a main objective and support of multiplayer thru WiFi. Make your way to our forums to give any feedback which you might have. I'm sure PSPHax0r9 will appreciate it. Here's two more screenshots which he has kindly provided.
