Fight Night ROund 4 - Image 1Still hitting the ring at Fight Night Round 4? Good news, slugger. EA Sports is sending another haymaker over to pack more punch into the game. This round will see a neat price drop for the game, so those who still don't have the game will be able to grab a copy minus the ouch of the full price. For those who already have the game, EA Sports will continue post-launch support with some fresh new downloadable content.

Satoru Iwata - Image 1The Wii may be miles ahead of the competition in the total sales race, but for the first time in four years, Nintendo saw a drop in profits from the cash-hauling console. Acknowledging the situation, Satoru Iwata owns up to the decline, looking forward to turning things around.

Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 1After weeks of denying rumors and trying to keep up with the console pricing, Nintendo finally confirms the Wii price cut, though unfortunately the UK isn't getting one. Still, in the words of that counselor from The New Guy, "I'm sorry to tell you that denial is not just a river in Egypt." Different context, I know, but the deny-and-confirm-later-anyway routine is really catching on. Speaking of catching, you can catch up with all the things Nintendo right here.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Uncool. Expensive. That's what Apple thinks of the PSP. That may well be, but thanks to TGS we heard a lot of good -- and frankly, some really bad -- news for the Sony handheld. The good news is that there are free games in store for those upgrading to the PSP Go. The bad news is that you won't be able to play your sizable collection of UMD games if you trade in your UM drive-equipped PSP just to have enough money for that darn Go. Sucks, right? At least all the games we heard about in the past seven days are still going to end up being playable on older PSPs. Read on for all the action in the PSP Weekend Warrior.

PS3 - Image 1This news complements the numbers that came out yesterday, showing Sony's PS3 Slim selling a million units in the mere three weeks it's been out. Jack Tretton, SCEA's Chief Exec, revealed that they are now "up about 300 percent over" where they were before the price drop, in terms of PS3 sales.

PSP-3000 - Image 1Love it or hate it, one good thing about the PSP Go's release next month is that it opens the door to cheaper retail prices for older PSP models. At TGS, Sony announced that a price drop is indeed being instituted for the PSP-3000. In Japan, at least.

Media Create - Image 1It's time to compare numbers again. After the impressive giant leap that the PS3 console made the past couple of weeks, things are starting to simmer down as the DSi regains the top spot in Japan's Media Create hardware sales chart for the week of September 7 through the 13th.

Michael Pachter - Image 1Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has some pretty dire tidings for Nintendo. According to the analyst, the Wii's sales will continue to decline unless Nintendo gives a price cut the go signal. More estimates from Pachter after the jump.
