After what seemed like a long hiatus, homebrew developer David Rudie came out anew and released an improved version of WiFiController for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). The program is based from Mikko Mononen's original controller program for the PSP.
WiFiController for PSP v0.4.3 runs in kernel mode so it should work fine on firmwares 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, and 2.6. Also, David Rudie mentioned that this should also work with CFW 3.x OE-x provided that you use v1.00 of this program for this. Changes since the last release include: v0.4.3
v0.4.2

A few weeks back, we've seen someone play Half-Life 2 on their PC using the Wiimote. Impressive, to say the very least, but that was through the GlovePIE driver. Today, we've got the same thing, only sans the GlovePIE. Check it out:
It's Day 22 of PJG2005's Wiimote mod development, and he's finally given people a preview of his project. He's going directly to the root of the source code of the game and building a Wiimote + Nunchuk driver into the engine. He's claiming that he didn't use GlovePIE nor PPJoy. Could there be a possibility of working this code mod into other PC FPS titles also? Yes, given they're open source games, then there is a possibility. Will we see one any time soon? Maybe in a half-life's time... We'll keep you guys posted! |

Well, lookie here! Homebrew applications developer for the Nintendo DS, sypherce, has updated his creation, DS2Key. Now, in version 0.6, the app has really improved in leaps and bounds over time. The last time we reported about it was way back in March and we're glad that this app is getting its needed updates.In case you have forgotten what it is, DS2Key utilizes your NDS as a gamepad for your PC by transmitting signals via WiFi. Of course, you're gonna need a a wireless router for this. Version 0.6 is now blessed with virtual gamepad emulation so now, you can use it with any app requiring a joystick or gamepad. Bear in mind that the touch screen serves as the analog stick when in gamepad mode. For now, the gamepad mode will only work for a single person. Aside from that, you must install an external program called PPJoy to make use of the gamepad mode functions. sypherce was kind enough to hook you up with instructions as to how to go about it, so fulfill your end of the bargain and read up. With all that mentioned, download link's right down there, you know what to do. Download: [DS2Key 0.6] |

David Rudie and his famous WiFi application, WiFi Controller is back. Just to refresh your memory a bit, WiFi Controller turns your PSP into a controller for your Windows based computer. It was inspired by an earlier program called PPjoy by Mikko Monroe. This recent release is a more polished version of version 4 (which was publicly released). He fixed known bugs, like the menu selection screen flickering really bad and cycling through the items too fast plus cleaned up his code. Changelog:
Changelog: v0.5 (Not released yet, but changes so far)

Developed by David Rudie, the WiFi Controller was inspired by an earlier program called PPjoy written by Mikko Monroe. PPJoy had a few kinks and David wanted a more detailed application, so he wrote WiFi Controller from scratch and used a small portion of PPJoy codes. David thanks Mikko for that. If you already have David's app, he just released the latest update WiFi Controller v0.3 and here's the changelog:

Inspired by the work of Mikko Monone, who wrote the original controller program, David Rudie decided to give this program his own mark. The WiFi Controller program basically turns your PSP into a controller for your PC. A few of the things he noticed that's a little amiss with the original was that the start button exited the program and select didn't work plus he wanted some more details on the display. He borrowed a tiny bit of the original codes as a starting point and the rest was all his. Also, we have to give it up for PPJoy for helping out. Rudie writes a detailed how-to in the Read Me file included in the downloaded, which I'm going to put here for everyone's convenience.
Buttons = 8
Y Axis = Analog 1
Button 1 = Digital 0
North = Digital 6
