Apple's made some pretty sweet changes in the iPhone's Firmware 2.1, but it seems they've changed even more than they let on. Several undocumented changes have been burrowed out by justinomg and other users. Check them out in the full article. |

Here's another handy communication device from the Plantronics, the Explorer 370. This little baby was developed for adventurers as it can stand up against the elements. Hopefully, this can bring out the "Lara Croft" in all of us. Catch the details of this Bluetooth headset after the jump! |

Over every platform imaginable, games in GameStop are being offered for a lower price during the week June 8-14, at your nearest Gamestop outlet. With everything from coupons for free items or increased trade-in credit, they are also slashing prices off on Microsoft's Age of Empires III and its expansion, The War Chiefs. Gamers on the Xbox 360 can now own Midway's Hour of Victory with a free Plantronics X20 headset when they reserve the US$ 59.99 title. DS owners can hope to avail of freebie collectible cards of Spectrobes once they purchase a copy of the game, while PlayStation 3 gamers can avail of a free t-shirt when they reserve a copy of Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Be reminded that these deals are subject to certain conditions, so don't forget to read the fine print. |

If you want to really nuke it out with your friends in the virtual arena, you better make sure that you are indeed heard - and heard clearly. Plantronics, one of the leading manufacturers in headsets for desktop PCs, consoles, and mobile gadgets, has released their Audio 350 Halo 2 Edition headset for you FPS gamers. The headset boasts some bass-boosting pwnage and full-range stereo sounds. The adjustable/bendable microphone cancels out noise and supports better voice-recognition. Well, it doesn't look anything like a full Master Chief helmet, but I guess the green color works. Well, it's either that, or you can use it to match your TMNT enthusiasm. |

PlayStation Portable (PSP) accessory maker Plantronics is not entirely new to the business. You might remember the company from two years ago with its Bluetooth stereo headset and its wireless ear-buds Versa. Now, the company has come up with a new add-on to your handheld called GameCom P20.The accessory is basically a portable headset solution that will probably help users enjoy their handheld experience to the fullest. According to Plantronics, GameCom P20 is very suitable for gaming, music, movies, and chat, delivering intense, full-range stereo sound. Some if its other features are as follow:

Like all types of addiction, a Bluetooth headset can also be abused. Recently, we received reports that manufacturers Motorola, Plantronics, and Jabra are facing class action lawsuits involving the Bluetooth headset which caused permanent hearing loss to a number of plaintiffs. The plaintiffs' contention was that if these manufacturers had included a note of warning or safety information in the device, the users would have been informed and they would've taken caution. The negligence has resulted in marketing an "unsafe" product to the masses. The Bluetooth headset, for instance, can be coiled around one ear and can produce ear-damaging 106 decibels at maximum volume, even when used for a mere five minutes. Everyday workers find the Bluetooth headset an extremely convenient and futuristic gadget that fit their busy lifestyles. However, one executive who uses the headset for 12 hours a day says “If I could have it implanted in my head, I would." That ain't helping the case, is it? Borrowing quotes from a couple of commenters, "But what about CLAWHAMMERS, where are their warning labels?" If you ask us though, both the users and the manufacturers should be held responsible for whatever effects the Bluetooth headsets caused. But that's just us. What do you think? |

There's no denying it. Women don't only look for functionality in a product, they also want it to be stylish as well. If it doesn't go with most of their outfits, and if it doesn't have a "fahionable accessory" potential, well, don't expect all women to take a second look at it. We're guessing that's what the guys at Plantronics had in mind when they designed their Bluetooth necklace headset. Plantronics Guy 1: Hey guys, we've been making Bluetooth headsets for quite some time already. We don't we customize one for women? Other Plantronics Guys: Whhhaaaaaat? Are you kidding? (hollers) Plantronics Guy 1: After all, women are known to be avid fans of shopping ... Other Plantronics Guys: Yeah, right. And as if they're gonna go crazy over Bluetooth headsets. (Laughs some more) Plantronics Guy 1: They just might. Look, nowadays we depend so much on technology almost everyone has cellphones and other nifty gadgets. I certainly don't think women are excluded from that. So I'm saying why don't make a Bluetooth headset especially made for them. Tell you what, why don't we make a Bluetooth headset necklace? The product will combine style and efficiency, blah blah blah... Other Plantronics Guys: Hmmm...That's not a bad idea at all. And so, the production of the bluetooth headset necklace from Plantronics began. Okay, enough of the fictional stuff. Details about the said gadget are still not quite clear. What we do know is that the pendant here works as a microphone, so you could receive calls just by lifiting it. It looks pretty much okay, except that people might give you funny looks while using it. |
