Guess who's coming to the Nintendo Wii this week? Here's a clue: he's yellow, with an electric personality. Ultimate Electro? Nah. It's Pikachu, and the rest of the gang in My Pokemon Ranch, available on WiiWare starting this week. Check out what else is new on WiiWare and the Virtual Console in the full article. |

Having anger pent up inside you is never good. And if you're not up to unleashing all that fury on your fellow Brawling buddies, then you can take it all out on Sandbag (Man, he'll be getting such a headache when he wakes up tomorrow morning). See, he's the main contender in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Stadium: Home-Run Contest. This mode allows you to let loose on Sandbag (obviously, he's the guy that looks like a, well, sandbag - or... a rather tall marshmallow) for ten seconds and send him as far away as you can. You can kick him, smash him, do whatever you want to fill up his damage counter. Before the timer's up, you've got to grab the Home-Run Bat and... WHACK! It's a bird; it's a plane; no, it's a Marshmallow-looking-Sandbag ripping through the Smash Stadium! Home-Run Contest gives you the perfect chance to practice some combos to use for later on the Smash arena. But that's not all: there are various options to play with Sandbag. The first mode allows you to put a shield around the stage - this prevents you from falling off. There's also the two-player modes: whether as co-op or versus. And you can even go online with a friend and play with them on either co-op or versus as well - this one's found under the "With Friend" function. Check it out! We've got cameos of Yoshi, Pikachu, Lucas, Ike, Mario, and Link! (Aaaww... no Sonic). Super Smash Bros. Brawl is to be released for the Nintendo Wii on February 10. More of the screenshots after the jump! |

Another day, another exciting Super Smash Bros. Brawl update for the Nintendo Wii! Remember that angry mole who lectures you whenever you reset your GameCube or DS while playing Animal Crossing? No? Then there's going to be hell to pay. Say hello to Mr. Resetti, and he's out to chastise brawlers as one of the Assist Trophies. All right, not hell, but a slew of tedious lectures that will make you wish you've gone through hell instead. As an Assist Trophy, Mr. Resetti doesn't care if you've reset the game or not. He's going to talk brawlers to, well, death. See the screens below? That's not the entire lecture. If you notice why the sky is a bit darker in the last screenshot, that's a good indication on how long Mr. Resetti takes to deliver his talk. Kirby and Pikachu sleeping due to boredom is a sure sign, too. |

Boy, these updates about Brawl sure keep coming, don't they? We're not one to complain though, be it about another item, a technique, or a new character. And we're certainly not complaining now, as this Super Smash Brothers Brawl update's all about Pikachu and his Final Smash. Ladies and gentlemen, the most electrifying move in Super Smash Brothers history, the Volt Tackle! How it works is pretty simple: once the Smash Ball is acquired, Pikachu will be able to transform himself into a massive ball of lightning that the player can actually control. All you have to do then is steer the ball towards your enemies to deliver huge amounts of pain that's all crackly and prickly. Watch out, though, as the ball itself is pretty quick - you might overshoot your targets and fly out of the stage's relative safety. But if you've brushed up on your ring-out recovery, then getting back up to terra firma will be a piece of cake. Well, that's it for now about Pikachu and his Final Smash. Be sure to check back here for any and all further updates about the highly-anticipated brawler for the Nintendo Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl! |

They're irresistibly cute, fluffy, and did we mention cute? Kirby's and Pikachu's character profile in the official Super Smash Bros Brawl Dojo has been updated. Let's see what these two have to offer. Kirby's pink, round, and can copy everyone else's powers. This Dream Land denizen also has a vacuum-like ability to suck up things. Pikachu on the other hand, is an electric Pokemon. He's agile and can pack a mean thunderbolt to take out even the biggest of enemies. Better watch out for these two, they're not just cute - they're mean fighters as well in Super Smash Bros Brawl. We'll be bringing you more updates on this Nintendo Wii video game. In the meantime, why don't you check out these images of Pikachu and Kirby? Plan some future strategy perhaps? |

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is charging up for a release later this year. Now despite how far its gone in its development, we're still pretty stumped as to why Nintendo isn't showing screenshots or videos that are showing the rest of the playable characters. The only characters we've seen in media content are (as far as this writer's seen) Mario, Fox McCloud, Link, Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus, Samus Aran (with the suit), Kirby, Meta Knight, Pit, Wario, and, last but not least, Solid Snake. Where the hell are the rest of the characters? We might as well be able to confirm another character on that list today, and it's not because of a screenshot or a video. Turn your ears - yes, ears - to a different kind of media content, and you'll find the latest update to the official site of Super Smash Bros. Brawl: it's an audio clip of the ending song from Nintendo 64's Yoshi's Story. The one you'll be hearing behind the Read link below is a new arrangement for the upcoming Smash Bros. installment. Now, are we surprised to see Yoshi in the roster of playable characters? Not really; he's been a resident Smash fighter after all. We're just happy to find that the developers are starting to reveal more and more characters for the game. We're now wondering when we'll see some Megaman music updated onto their official site... or maybe that's just us being hopeful. Click the Read link below to listen to the new Yoshi's Story arrangement for Super Smash Bros. Brawl! |

We will all be soon choosing Pikachu once more as we get closer to the release date of video game Pokemon Battle Revolution. Basically, you've almost seen and heard everything about this title: from its amazingly unique features, various screenshots, and even a number of gameplay videos.Yup, many of you have seen everything save for one: what the game's box art looks like. Just one glance at the packshot will remind fans about DS games Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl - a constant reminder that the this Wii title can be controlled using Nintendo's handheld console. Aside from just controlling Pokemon Battle Revolution with the DS, players also have the option to import their characters from the above-mentioned DS titles. Seeing how Pearl and Diamond are doing well, we have to say that this is a well-thought-out strategy for Nintendo. Pokemon Battle Revolution will be released this coming June 25, 2007. |

It's certainly cute, and it has a logo of the flagship Pokemon printed onto it, too. No doubt it'll be a hot item for Pokemaniacs worldwide. The sad part about it is, it's not going to be available for retail - probably something you can only get through events or competitions. Another nice thing we can't have, I guess. But there's always the off-chance that some entrepreneur Pokefan might put it up for sale on eBay, right? |

We caught what seems to be the first English ad of the much-awaited Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Nintendo Wii. The Wii's fan base is growing exponentially and Nintendo is pulling out all the stops to keep their audience happy at all times with fantastic first-party titles. Will Battle Revolution be as successful as its Nintendo cousins? It seems to be going towards that direction. Check this vid out:
As you can see, the video shows a little of how players will be able to give commands to their cute pets. Pikachu and the rest of the gang are all back and everyone's spoiling for a fight. Prepare to find out once more who the champ is. The in-game visuals are looking nice, too. The details seem pretty smooth, movements are flawless and the special effects for special attacks seem kid-friendly. Overall, this is a prospect that's worthy of the hype surrounding it. |
