Homebrew developer ZodTTD has finally released version 2.0.0 of his long-awaited Sega Genesis and Sega CD emulator, genesis4iphone. This version works with iPhones and iPod Touches running on firmware 2.x.x. More details after the jump.

Classic Sega gaming enthusiasts will definitely welcome the latest version of homebrew developer notaz' PicoDrive, the Sega Genesis/Megadrive and Sega Pico emulator. Homebrew developer notaz has released a new build to the popular emulator, PicoDrive. Now on version 1.50, the emulator features support for Sega Pico, an electronic toy released by Sega in the early 90's. More details in the full article.

The art of homebrew platform emulation has been around for some time now, but it's somewhat rare to come across a Genesis emulator that has Sega CD support. The Emulation scene in the Sony PlayStation Portable world is always a good thing, and homebrew developer notaz definitely sets the bar when it comes to being prompt to feedback, especially when said feedback involves his port of the PicoDrive Sega Geneis/Sega CD emulator for the PSP. Not only did he respond to complaints but also put together a new version that fixes a major bug - one that players may find very frustrating.

Homebrew developer notaz has ported PicoDrive to the PSP. Based on Dave's (fdave, finalburn) PicoDrive 0.30 for Pocket PC and Stephane Dallongeville's Gens,  this application is an emulator for Sega Genesis/ Megadrive and Sega CD/ Mega CD games.

The Sega Genesis debuted in North America in 9 January 1989 and is considered one of the most successful 16-bit video game console. Even though the 16-bit era has come and gone, it's still nice playing with some of the games produced at that time. Ryan FB's PicoDriveDS gave those people nostalgic for and curious about the 16-bit era some hope. This project is a Sega Genesis emulator ported to the Nintendo DS.

This emulator, which was released three days ago, now comes with an update. PicoDriveDS v0.1.2 includes the following changes:

• Switched from Cyclone 0.0080 to Reesy's Cyclone 0.0084
• Switched from software scaling to hardware scaling
• Added three scale modes: Stretch, Aspect, and 1:1
• Cycle through scale modes with L
• Position the window in 1:1 mode by holding R and using the D-Pad
• Added soft reset (press select, takes you back to the ROM list)
• Added NDS banner information (shows up in WMB)

PicoDriveDS has two versions. One was based on SaTa's modified FAT libraries from REIN for SD users. The other one for CF cards was built against chishm's FAT libraries.
