If the rest of the world has Othello, Japan, China, and other countries in the east have their own version of the game called Go. Go is basically a two player game wherein each player have stones that they will use to occupy as much territory within the board. The game may appear simple, however, the idea of expanding territory, capturing your opponent's stones, as well as keeping your territory alive are things that you must keep in mind when playing Go. This is no easy task, but 1st class Go Master, Isao Osamu tells you that the road to becoming a 1st class Go Master is as easy as pie with his DS game Daredemo Kantan! Chou Isao Osamu no Tsume Go! which basically translates to It's simple for everyone! Master Isao Osamu's Winning Go!”

Isao Osamu's game really teaches you some Go strategies when you really need it - especially when your territory is at great risk. The game is basically a Go training program that teaches you how to react when you are found in such a situation. There are basic lectures on how to get by with each Go puzzle. At the end of every level, you get to have an opportunity to play Go with the higher-ranked computer opponent and once you have defeated him, you get a certificate for your level.

The games' lectures are easily accessible once its finished. Not only are your lectures saved but also how you play the game. Unlike most games wherein you can undo our actions by simply going back to an earlier saved game, this game keeps track and records all the moves you have made. In Go, that one move is enough to create or end the game. Hence, the game not only teaches the player tactics in approaching the game, but also teaches the player to choose the right tactic. At the end of every problem, Isao Osamu discusses with you your game play and how you should have approached the target area properly.

This is a great game for Go players who are looking for guidance when it comes to how they play. Isao Osamu leads you to the right path towards the hand of God.

There are three difficulty level settings for AI and there is also a modable design so you can create your own skins.

psp reverzi

Deniska shows off the screenshot of his latest PSP porting project, the Reverzi - a clone of the Othello (also known as Reversi). The board game was invented around 1880 by two Englishmen, Lewis Waterman and John W. Mollett. It became quite a sensation at the end of the 19th century in England. However, the modern set of rules originated in Japan in the 1970s where it was known as Othello. In the Othello version, the goal is to trap one or more opponents' pieces between two of your pieces. Trapped pieces then become your pieces. When both you and your opponent cannot play another piece, or if the board is filled, the game is over. The one with the most pieces win. It's a strategy game than can quickly turn a newcomer into an addict.
In addition to the standard gameplay, Deniska's PSP adaptation will feature the following:
No word yet on when PSP Reverzi will be released but as soon as we get the word, it will go right up here on QJ. Keep checking this site for that and more PSP homebrews to come.
