Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) has only recently been cleared for release in Australia after the whole drugs debacle, but it looks like Bethesda's Pete Hines is still a bit peeved. According to the Fallout 3 product manager, censorship laws that differ from country to country are "frustrating". More from Hines in the full article. |

All you troublemakers out there waiting for Saints Row 2 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) in Australia can stop crossing your fingers. THQ has confirmed that the OFLC gave the game a thumbs up with an MA 15+ rating. That means not only will the game not be banned, it'll be available to a wider age group, too. But as the situation stands, Silicon Knight's Too Human on the Xbox 360 apparently made the M for Mature rating cut for violence, after a revised version of the game was sent for review to Australia and other regions. |

Long-time Fallout players are well aware of the effects of in-game chems like Mentats, Buffouts, and Jet. What a lot of people didn't count on was that these same chems were going to be the reason for the Fallout 3 (or, as some people insist on calling it, "Oblivion with guns") ban in Australia.
