Project Hammer - Image 1The upcoming Nintendo Wii game Project H.A.M.M.E.R. is one of the platform's most anticipated titles for 2007, but rumor has it that the development of the title may have been discreetly unplugged by Nintendo.

According to IGN's sources who are allegedly close to NST, the efforts to develop Project H.A.M.M.E.R. were terminated because of Nintendo's decision to move key members of the team to higher-priority game development tasks on titles that will cater more to the casual crowd.

It can be recalled that the game was sighted last in the 2006 E3 show. After which, little else was ever released to update us on the progress of the game.

In the interactive presentation of this title in E3, players took control of a hammer-swinging cyborg that flattened everything in its path. This was done by moving the Wiimote up and down to wreck all who dared to oppose.

We would like to remind everyone that all of this is still in the rumor stage and official word from Nintendo is yet to be received. We'll update you on this matter as soon as possible.

Mario Vs Donkey Kong logo - Image 1

For those who are still waiting for the puzzle game Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis to finally be released in your region, take heart as the wait won't be that long anymore. With its European and Japanese release coming up within the next couple of months, this Lemmings-inspired puzzler developed by NST will finally be making its way into DS-owners' game libraries all over the world.

Bound for a European release on March 9, and a Japanese release on April 12 (aha! They finally get a game LAST, this once), Nintendo has released a new batch of screenshots and character art for this title to tide over fans, as we all wait for the Minis to finally start marching into our hometowns.

RF Online - Image 1

Wanna know what'll happen when all of the little cliques and social circles in a school are thrown together into one huge house where they have to either coexist or fight like hell to exterminate everyone else? No, we don't know either (although we do have an idea). What we do know though is that when the RF Online server merge hits later today, everyone in Novus is going to see one hell of a party.

That's right folks, Codemasters is going to merge all of the current RF Online servers - Spirit, Fire, Earth, Water and Wind - into one huge super-server known as Novus. Thanks to this stroke of genius, players will now be able to play RF Online as it was meant to be played: with lots of mass PvP and insanely intense Chip Wars action.

Mark down your calendar folks. Worlds will collide today, January 24, at 9pm NST (GMT). In order to make way for this epic milestone in RF Online history, the servers will be going offline at 9am NST (GMT) for 12 hours to enable the live merge to take place. Happy hunting.

Man, does this guy look good. - Image 1 Man, does this guy look good. - Image 2

We would have expected an unarmored Samus to come out for NST's Metroid Prime line of collectibles, but we're pleasantly surprised to see this statue instead. Gamers everywhere, have a look at Trace, the newest offering in First 4 Figures' series of collectible statues.

Coming from the Metroid Prime Hunters storyline, Trace is a Kriken, an alien sent by his race to search for a new world for the Kriken to take over. Trace's objective drives him to not only find a suitable planet for his people to subjugate, but a powerful weapon that will let him return to his people a hero.

The figure itself is 10.5 inches tall, and will have a limited run of 1,500 statues, selling for US$ 89.99 each. It'd probably look great with the company's armored Samus collectible, but I'm tempted to see Trace making kissy-faces at Fierce Deity Link, just for the laugh factor. In any case, if you've got a hankering for a long-term investment, this is probably a good item to get. Enjoy!
