Guitar Hero 5Wondering what Activision's got in store for Guitar Hero 5 to make it a cut above the rest of their games in the series (and Rock Band)? Well, I've been wondering too. What else can they add to spice up the gameplay anyway? Here's hoping we get to settle some band disputes, care of a recent press release. New game modes, partial set-list (praise the gods, "Sympathy for the Devil" confirmed!), and a ton of new info - it's actually more promising than some of you would expect!

The iPhone port of the 2000 Neversoft title will supposedly include "all 10 levels plus 3 bonus levels with incredible graphics and blazing frame rate". Check out the vid after the jump.

Guitar Hero Metallica - Image 1I am totally sure that reader Casper B. (sorry, dear. Facebook doesn't have a Save Chat History function, so I lost your username. hehe) would be glad to hear about this update on Guitar Hero Metallica. Thanks to Neversoft's GH Metallica (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2) Lead Designer Alan Flores, we've got new details about the much-awaited Metal-tastic installment for the game-music franchise. Even better to know is that the guys behind the game are actual Metallica fans. It's all in good hands, then?

Robomodo - Image 1What happens after a development team gets dissolved? Sometimes they get shuttled off to other projects. Sometimes they get together, come up with a cool name and logo, and go independent. The people behind Robomodo chose the second option, and now they've got a new game coming up for Activision Blizzard. Find out more about the studio after the jump.

Guitar Hero World Tour - no trophies - Image 1Looks like someone didn't want to join the bandwagon. With more and more games adding Trophy support on the PS3, it comes as unfortunate news that Neversoft decided to forego the ego-boosting feature for their upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour on the PS3. Yep, no Trophies for World Tour. That being said, maybe other future titles from Neversoft would have Trophy support? But wait... what are Neversoft's future games?

Guitar Hero World TourDuring the past couple of days, whispers indicate a new controller peripheral (other than the drums and microphone) will be introduced for Guitar Hero: World Tour - for its PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, at least. It turns out that someone got misquoted somewhere, but now it's been clarified. The so-called "new instrument" is actually a feature that uses the PC to record songs into your PS3 or 360 library. It may be a bit anti-climactic for some of you, but it's cool nonetheless.
