Hackers from SoftChip have introduced a new app that goes around some of the Wiibrew blocks Nintendo introduced in the latest Wii Menu update. This program enables some of the benefits of the new firmware without actually updating. Details after the link.

Wii Menu 3.4 blocks Twilight Hack, deletes modified saves - Image 1Nintendo's really cracking down hard on piracy, and on its warpath is trampling on Wiibrew grounds as well. The latest firmware update has gone live, with amendments to the Nintendo User Agreement, and stringent homebrew blocks.

Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aime has recently said that user-generated content is the future of interactive entertainment, and so Nintendo's gonna hop right onto that bandwagon.

Hudson heading to PAX - Image 1Wii owners who are heading to the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo will be glad to know that Hudson Entertainment is bringing some quality Wii gaming to PAX.
