Some trailers are entertaining, some are more forgettable than others. This trailer of Namco's Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, however, is one of those that will have your body hairs standing on end. 'Nuff said. Let's watch:
Ace Combat has always been about good visuals, controls that are easy to learn but tough to master, and surprisingly good storytelling. If this trailer is any indication, we're looking at another successful installment in the popular flight action series. If you wanted to be Maverick in "Top Gun" and you loved "Behind Enemy Lines," this is probably the closest you can get to those dogfighting fantasies in Hollywood. We've already had a taste of the gameplay in the demo we had over Xbox Live recently and it met our expectations spot on. The game is taking advantage of the Xbox 360's power and it's a heck of a lot of fun. Still, we haven't seen the full game yet so we can't give out a foregone conclusion. But for all intents and purposes, Ace Combat 6 is flying high at this point. |

We've all seen those cute little bags that celebrities use to carry around their dogs in style. Well, if dogs can have classy and fashionable bags, why can't laptops too? With the increasing variety of laptops being sold today, people are now taking into consideration not only the functionality of the laptop, but its fashion factor as well. From colored laptops to decorative, glossy laptop stick-ons, more and more people are paying attention to jazzing up their expensive gadgets. Well, here's another item that would be good for that pimped up look for your laptop. Radian Technology, a company specializing in computer accessories and peripherals, has launched the Radian Laptop bags for both men and women. Coming in five different styles (April, Laurel and Fiona for the ladies, and Maxwell and Maverick for the gents), it promises to offer maximum protection for your laptop with the AirSHIELD gel impact system incorporated in it. All bags are water-resistant and have extra compartments for papers, mobile phones and whatever other knick-knacks you might have. The bags can accommodate laptops that range from 12" to 15". While there's still no word regarding the price of the products, I'm pretty sure it will put not just your fashion points into high gear, but getting this bag may also put a bit of a strain on your wallet. |

Everything about cooking is alien to me. I've had my share of burnt rice, burnt toast, burnt pasta noodles, burnt everything. Name it and I've burnt it. Blame it on multitasking, but I don't have the whole day to toil around the kitchen in my apron trying to make a half-way decent dish when there are other things to do around the house. For those who know what I'm talking about, thank your lucky stars for remote thermometers from Maverick, a New Jersey-based distributor of Cooking Thermometers & Timers, Specialty Food Preparation Appliances, Home/Office Accessories and Personal Care Items. Grill with no worries using Redi-Check Remote Cooking Thermometer and Timer Model ET-72. This device worth $59.99, monitors your food on the grill or in the oven even if you're 100 feet away. If you're preparing for a feast, Remote-Check Wireless Thermometer & Timer Transmitter & Receiver Set Model ET-7 is for you. It monitors two types of meat and shows the temperature every five seconds. And when you're done, the timer will beep to let you know. Priced at $79.99 it ensures that your food is cooked properly and safely. ET-73 Remote Smoker Thermometer ($60), monitors internal temperature of smoked meats from 100 feet away. Just clip the receiver to your belt and so you can receive notification through beeps if the temperature inside the smoking chamber is rising or falling. Its heat resistant probe wire can be inserted 6" into the meat. These products won't give you any more excuse on why you're going to get Chinese take out. |
