Flashi Flash - Image 1

PSP developer marlon_ibz, the coder responsible for the up-and-coming Dragon Ball 3D homebrew game, has just dropped by the QJ.Net Forums to announce the release of ..:Flashi Flash:.. In case its name didn't give it away, it's a PSP flasher app that allows you to customize some settings. It also has a function for clearing up space in your flash0.

This release includes a function that automatically activates the USB when you access the app, which should allow users to change their files directly. marlon_ibz estimates that this app will clear around 3MB of space, and allows you to flash the following files:
  • topmenu_plugin.rco
  • impose_plugin.rco
  • system_plugin.rco
  • sysconf_plugin.rco
  • gameboot.pmf
  • opening_plugin.rco
  • system_plugin_bg.rco
  • 01-12.bmp
The author further warns users that if the files have a different name than the ones listed above, the application won't work. For our part, we direct users to check out bundle's readme and marlon_ibz's release thread over at the QJ.Net Forums for further important details. Remember: mishandling flasher apps can brick your PSP. Enjoy the download, and make sure to visit the author's other works, such as Recovery mode 3.40, and Updater Flasher 3.xx UE v2.

QJ.Net tipster bruce33 pointed us to PlayStation Portable (PSP) dedicated Spanish site Tekno PSP to take a look at a soon-to-be-released homebrew game from coder marlon_ibz. The developer is known for several PSP applications such as Recovery Mode 3.40 and Updater Flasher 3.xx UE.

Anyway, the game is going to be called Dragon Ball 3D and will include five different characters. Speaking of which, we can say that Saiyan prince Vegeta will be making an appearance judging from the video clip below. As the name suggests, the game is going to be in full 3D and marlon_ibzalso  mentioned that online play is being considered.

Take a look at the clip below to have a preview of Dragon Ball 3D. Once this homebrew game is released, you will be sure that you'll hear about it from us first.

Homebrew coder Marce82, with assistance from marlon_ibz, astaroth, alvyweb, xblade, and moha, just released a new version of pet project Updater Flasher 3.xx UE. The application should be run on your PC (Windows) and not on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) itself. Now on its second version, Updater Flasher has been made compatible with Dark_AleX's custom firmwares 3.10 OE, 3.30 OE and 3.40 OE.

According to the developer, please be sure that no plugin is activated whatsoever as well as the pre-determined configuration of the Recovery. Some of the program's other features have been listed below. Pardon the English though, they were directly translated from Spanish using an online language translator:

  • Added Plugins of USB, Capture, CPU speed, etc, etc
  • Added Plugins Popstation 3,11, 3,30 and 3.40
  • Elimadas the Obligatory Folders of System. (The organized MS this but and clean one)
  • Liberation of Space in the Flash0 (3 Mb)
Take note that Updater Flasher works on the PSP's flash so be sure that you very well know what you are doing. We have to say that even us had a hard time understanding the program at the start simply because it is in Spanish. The Read link will take you to Marce82's blog site for more information and installation guide.

Recovery boot 3.40 developed by marlon_ibz - Image 1

The whole homebrew community">homebrew community is in full motion once more after DAX released custom firmwares 3.40 OE-A and 3.30 OE-A'. With that in mind, we know that applications will again will be pouring in once more. In fact, here comes one of the first ones: Recovery boot 3.40 developed by coder marlon_ibz.

What this program does is that it lets users boot from the PlayStation Portable's (PSP) XMB to recovery 3.40. It's actually pretty useful, if we may add. Also, effort and dedication can be seen in this program as music has been added whenever you view Recovery boot from the cross media bar.

It is needless to say that this should be used with units running on 3.40. But according to QJ tipster bruce33, even though that the preferred firmware is 3.40, the application should work with all other firmwares. Before using this application, please be sure to browse through the Readme file first.
