Call me deluded but I'm pretty optimistic when it comes to "vaporware" software. The quotes are there since sometimes these things do become solid. It paid off with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, so yeah, I'm still hopeful that Nibris' Sadness would turn out the same.

Now don't go thinking this is another one of those depressing economic news - it's not. It's just your average depressing video game convention news, like E3. A press release just went out announcing that this year's Leipzig Games Convention has been canceled, but they will be holding a new event in its place called Games Convention Online.

Seed Studios put up a website for a new game entitled Under Siege. It's for the PS3 and it's said to arrive in 2009.

David Cage of Quantic Dream has given out a couple more information on the much-awaited Heavy Rain title. The most significant tip he's got to offer to excited gamers out there: don't use checkpoints as much for replayability.

Ah, there it is! The PlayStation Network update may have been delayed, but a day late isn't all that bad. Not only is the FIFA Soccer 09 demo finally here, but a whole slew of stuff too. A new episode for Siren is included, as well as that Guitar Hero 3 Metallica album. Even a demo for Leipzig Games Convention winner Play TV is part of today's update.

Sucker Punch game director Nate Fox hinted at the possibility that the studio may still be making a PSP title in the future. Could that game be a new Sly Cooper title?

Nate Fox, game director of inFamous, praised the PlayStation 3 at the Leipzig Games Convention, saying that it can do "everything you want." "Ready for GAME time!" Tokyo Game Show 2008's theme is definitely one that can get your heart pumping. I know something else that might get your heart pumping: the full list of exhibitors to be present in this year's gaming event at Tokyo. Knowing the exhibitors at TGS 2008 might give a hint as to what games we can probably expect on the show floor (and knowing what games can, in turn, give us a hint as to what types of boothbabe cosplays we might expect to see too). This year's Games Convention at Leipzig was a sure fire success. And though some of you might not think that the same could be said about E3, GC 2009 has already been scheduled. Via press release, we find out that this year's event has set records above and beyond what GC 2007 had, and reception from the masses has definitely shown a good sign that the video games industry is booming more than it used to.
