For those who would much rather sing along to the music of The Beatles than go nuts on a plastic guitar, SingStar comes up with a fun alternative. A package will be available containing a regular copy of The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii) plus two wired SingStar mics for your retro-karaoke entertainment.

Homebrew coder pedrocrespo has released Karaokii, a karaoke music game for the Nintendo Wii. The homebrew features two kinds of lyrics, line and word karaoke. It supports OGG format with mod and MP3 format planned in future release.

I was at the beach last year having a few drinks when this dude at the bar did a reggae cover of Jason Mraz's I'm Yours. Can't help but love the song more than I already did. While a lot of people give me crap about liking Jason Mraz music, I don't care. Apparently, neither does Lips: Number One Hits, which features the aforementioned artist, as well as other big names in the scene, including Lady Gaga, Kanye, and Mariah Carey.

Bring the classic music of the Jackson 5 into your track archive now that Konami has announced that they have secured the rights to the music of Jackson 5, now MJ and his brothers are coming to the new Karaoke Revolution for the Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii. Cool.

Konami has announced another Revolution game for 7th-generation consoles, this time opting to go for a more party approach with the Blitz Games singing sensation Karaoke Revolution. The sixth week of PSN Spring Fever features the usual truckload of add-ons, trailers, and the ever-present Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks. Spearheading today's batch is Wheel of Fortune and the LBP Killzone Mini-pack. Karaoke Revolution also features songs that certainly put the movie mood on, but they're the American Idol versions though. Check the list inside for a some of the content.

j3r3mie brings out some funky kind of fun for the PSP with his new release, eKaraoke v1.0. This homebrew, as you can glean from the name of the game, turns your PSP into a karaoke. Get ready to grab on to that microphone!

Nintendo Japan's website has been updated to include a section for the new Nintendo DSi. Some of you might be particularly interested in the spec sheet, which shows the evolution (and devolution) of the new model from the DS. Bigger screen, check. Camera, check. Shorter battery life? Boo. Longer stylus though - does that count for something?
