Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 120 years after Nintendo launched the Game Boy, the immensely popular portable gaming device has now been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of an elite list of legendary playthings. An honor well-deserved. Seeking to continue their hardware success, Nintendo has had another busy week, topped off with updates from three of their biggest execs.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Ah. First off let me just say that this Weekend Warrior is a particularly short one. But hey, we still heard some good PSP news over the week. Konami's finally announced that they're working on English demos for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and for those that can read Japanese there's a God Eater demo on the way. Best news so far this week for me, though, is BlazBlue PSP. Hit the jump for this week's PSP Weekend Warrior edition.

PS3 - Image 1It's numbers time again! The latest hardware sales figures from Japan's Media Create has been release, and competition is getting tighter as the PS3 inches closer and closer to the top, needing only about a thousand more units before overtaking the long-reigning DSi.

White Knight Chronicles - Image 1Another update for White Knight Chronicles coming up, but no, Level 5 Games isn't finished with the North American release. They did, however, finish working on a patch that adds a voice chat feature into the Japan-released game, as well as some collectible goodies for PlayStation Home.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey - Image 1In the near future, a mysterious, growing, black void dubbed the Schwarzwelt appears at the Earth's southern pole. So begins the story in Atlus' first-person sci-fi RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. Next year, DS owners in North America will don their own retro-cool helmets and plunge head-first into that black spot.

Dragon Quest IX - Image 1The powers and resources of the NPD, Enterbrain, and GfK Chart-Track have all come together and the results are in - Dragon Quest IX dominated the global sales charts spanning over three months ending September of this year. What's more amazing is that the DS-exclusive title has only been released in Japan. See how the others fared.

God Eater - Image 1It's been a while since we last heard about Namco Bandai's God Eater. If you know Japanese (or have enough trust in your ability to navigate a menu without understanding a thing about it), you'll get to do more than hear (or read) about it soon. You can get to play the demo.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Image 1Phoenix Wright, the "Objection!" shouting ace attorney and all around good guy, looks to be making the jump to Nintendo's money-making waggle-controlled console. Or so the German USK says.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Image 1As if a new Zelda game isn't enough, Nintendo is sweetening the purchase of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in Japan with a cool bonus. For those picking this up at Day 1, you'll be getting a neat feather stylus for your Nintendo DS.

Ninety-Nine Nights 2 - Image 1It seems Feelplus' Ninety-Nine Nights II is no longer a Japan exclusive, if Gamefly is to be believed. A listing for the game was recently spotted in the online game rental service's database along with two other Xbox 360 titles.
