Quantum of Solace has received an official release date from Activision. Expect the game to hit shelves on November 4. Better get yourself a pre-order as well; those who do will get access to a multiplayer map pack for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Since the game runs on the same engine as Call of Duty 4, I'm betting that map pack's worth getting. More details after the link.

There's more than a month to go before Quantum of Solace (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, DS, Wii, PC) comes out, but Activision's 2009 game lineup has revealed that a new James Bond game is already slated for release next year along with three new IPs. More in the full article.

Now that the first proton particles have been injected into the Large Hadron Collider, the facility is now getting ready to start up the humongous atom smasher next Wednesday. Exciting. Activision is getting ready to launch its Quantum of Solace game in time for the James Bond movie of the same name's debut later this year. We have several weeks left before we finally get our hands on Konami Digital Entertainment's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and the home stretch of the waiting period is killing us.
