PS3, Xbox 360 - Image 1MMOs are steadily breaking out of their PC confines and into this console generation thanks to the massive support for online play. Speaking at the "MMOs to consoles" panel at the GDC in Austin, Turbine VP of product development Craig Alexander makes a comparison between the two powerhouses of the seventh generation. His thoughts - it's easier to develop MMOs for the Xbox 360 than the PS3.

Turbine - Image 1They're being sued right now, but at least Turbine is still focusing on what they're supposed to do: make games. Over at the Austin GDC, Craig Alexander, the company's VP of project development, confirmed that they currently have a console MMO in the works.

Noby Noby Boy for iPhone - Image 1I love that "mad genius on drugs" vibe Keita Takahashi always gives off in interviews. Oh, and his honesty too. When asked about the iPhone version of Noby Noby Boy, he was pretty quick to answer that it's just "bait" for an increased PS3 development budget for the game's console version. Well, it seems he's at least 60% closer to finding out if his gamble pays off.

Predict! - Image 1A lot of people think that the year 2012 is significant. Some think the world's going to end by then. People in the games industry, on the other hand, think that it will be a beginning instead of an end: the beginning of the next console cycle. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli is one of those who believe that 2012 is when the next generation of game consoles will start showing up. *UPDATE* Two demo videos have surfaced from GamesCom 2009.

Thanks, Peter Bauer!

Rachel at E3 2009 - Image 1 You know Rachel's tough when she can dress like a stripper and still kick some major ass in the rain. That's what you're about to see, plus a little more, on this E3 trailer for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 from Team Ninja and Tecmo. That's right, the busty, leather-clad femme fatale is now playable in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, along with Dragon Sword's Momiji. Details after the jump.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1It feels like the calm before the storm is here. News has started to come in smaller amounts this week as we get closer and closer to next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Everybody's trying to keep their cards close to their vests so they can present the best E3 they can. Let's just all hope the awesome parts far outweigh the disappointing parts. Anyway, it may have been a bit of a slow news week, but that doesn't mean there was no news to speak of. Read on for the PSP Weekend Warrior.
