Prefacing the videogame's release less than two months before is the news that EA Maxis does have something special cooked up for avid game collectors and hardcore fanboys. Spore apparently has a Galactic Edition SKU, which like every form of Collector's, Limited, and Special Edition comes with similarly arranged bonus content. But perhaps past the hardcovers and the posters, we could appreciate one little gem in the rough: an exclusive NatGeo DVD that's designed especially for Spore. |

Things are certainly looking up for EA's Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). It's about to hit retail stores in a few hours, and so far, it looks like the reception of the people are good. This is if you look at the number of downloads the demo has gotten since its release. Read up after the jump. |

In an impressive turnout, the Spore (PC, Nintendo Wii, DS, Mac, and Mobile) Creature Creator for the PC platform has churned out about 250,000 creatures in a single day - that's how much the users loved Electronic Arts' most-anticipated game. This is despite the fact that Electronic Arts had to wield the banhammer on those who got a little bit too enthusiastic about being able to create a creature out of their own imagination. More details in the full article. |

In a previous article, we mentioned that John Riccitiello, the CEO of Electronic Arts, gave out more information regarding the upcoming Godfather
video game at the William Blair and Company investor conference. Well,
apparently, this wasn't the only thing information he gave out. He also let slip a
general timeframe on when BioWare's MMO project is slated to be out. For more on this, check out the full article. |

Take-Two Interactive, publisher of the record-breaking Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), has agreed to comply to the Federal Trade Commission's wishes and will send information about its supposed deal with giant Electronic Arts. This means that the commission will now start assessing the US$ 2 billion deal to safeguard against potential antitrust law violations. More in the full article. |
