Datel wasn't happy with the way Microsoft decided to shut them out of the Xbox 360 and they're not gonna take it lying down. No, they're not gonna amass an angry mob and trample through the Microsoft gates with torches and pitchforks (although it'd be cool if they did). What they're working on right now is finding a way past the obstacle that keeps their storage devices out of the system.

It's been a while, and a lot of things definitely happened this week for the green blog. We have here some buzz pertaining to the supposed inclusion of Blu-ray into the Xbox 360, an expected subsequent denial, and piqued interest as to this possibility and more. On the games front, we've got a slew of add-ons and new releases, as well as record-making/ record-breaking game sessions. Xbox 360 owners all over were not at all pleased when the latest Xbox 360 update was set to prevent the use of "unauthorized storage devices" for the console. Datel, too, expressed their disappointment with this development. While users have basically begun verbally crucifying Microsoft for the decision, a spokesperson explains their side. The reason? Cheaters.

Over the weekend, news came out that Microsoft will now be removing unauthorized storage devices on your Xbox 360 via a system update. A lot of people didn't look too kindly upon this initiative, and apparently, Datel is on the side of gamers on this one, too.

Y'know what they say... play with fire... and you get burned! Datel has just revealed that Sony is taking legal action against their service mode battery that advertised itself as a PSP-3000 hacking tool. Heh. Surprised much? This is following news of Datel's pulling out of the battery - the Lite Blue Tool - and changing its product description.

Did you get yourself Datel's Lite Blue Tool? Wondering why it's not putting your PSP Brite into service mode as promised? It's because you didn't purchase the Lite Blue Tool, you purchased the Max Power Digital. Uhuh.

A silent update to the codejunkies website has changed not only the product name of the Lite Blue Tool, but also its product description. What a jip.

As anticipated - and warned - by Alek and the rest of the gang at the Dark_AleX forums, the oober-hyped Datel batteries, the "savior of the PSP 3K", turned out to be nothing more but that: oober-hyped. Check out Alek's update on the "wonder-batt" and on the 88v3 IPL.after the jump.

Datel's quick to turn a profit from their PSP-3000 "hack." The Lite Blue hack tool, being marketed as the only PSP battery capable of putting the PSP-3000 into Service Mode, is now available for pre-orders at the Codejunkies site, and will be shipping on December 1.
