Report: EA layoff hits Warhammer and Madden Series Team - Image 1Although not officially confirmed yet, the grapevine has named the casualties of Electronic Arts' "cost-cutting measures." Studios that experienced significant layoffs are Mythic Entertainment, the guys behind Warhammer Online, and EA Tiburon, the studio responsible for Madden and other titles under the EA Sports banner.

Halo RRoD - Image 1Oy vey... Looks like the New Xbox Experience dashboard update is experiencing some not-so-new Xbox woes. November 19: launch day for the NXE update. Not 24 hours after it went live, complaints are already piling up. Various forums online have threads and threads of people reporting anything from connection freezes, slow downs, lock ups, broken TV connections, and so many other different numerical errors... inlcluding reports of RRoD'ed brickage.

Xbox 360 - Image 1Following reports of rampant failures concerning Xbox 360 Elite units in the UK, Microsoft has denied the stories and downplayed the details which were divulged. An independent repair specialist took on Microsoft's side this time around, saying that Elites are far less prone to the notorious red rings of death which has plagued earlier versions  of the console.
